DLM Dashboard Installation Guide

Overview

This guide details the installation of essential applications for the DLM Dashboard, including Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), Docker, and Edge Streaming Engine (ESE). It also covers integration with Niagara Workbench.

Prerequisites

Ensure the following are installed or enabled:

  • WSL: Windows Subsystem for Linux
  • Ubuntu: Installed via WSL
  • Docker: For running ESE
  • ESE: Edge Streaming Engine
  • Niagara Workbench: Version 4.10 or later (install separately)

Enable Windows features like Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, and WSL before installation.

Installation Process

The setup involves:

  1. Running the DLM Dashboard Sync application to install WSL, Docker, and ESE.
  2. Configuring user credentials and IP addresses during installation.
  3. Exporting generated certificates.
  4. Importing certificates into Niagara Workbench and approving host connections for ESE communication.
