Safety Instructions
Before using the device, please read the operating instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference.
- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
- Warning: Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fluctuations, direct sunlight, or humidity.
- To prevent potential auditory damage, avoid listening to music at high volumes for extended periods.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lit candles, on the appliance.
- This appliance is intended for use in temperate climates only.
- Dispose of electric and electronic equipment separately. Do not mix with unsorted municipal waste; ensure separate collection.
- Pay attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
- The appliance contains non-replaceable batteries.
- Batteries (battery pack or installed batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat (e.g., sunshine, fire).
- Batteries must be removed from the appliance before proper disposal.
- Remove the rechargeable battery only when intending to dispose of the appliance. Have this done by trained professionals.
- CAUTION! Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
- Dispose of used batteries according to the provided instructions.
Product Breakdown
The Naxa NE-979 system consists of two wireless earphones and a charging case. The components are labeled as follows:
- Earphone Components:
- 1. Multi-Function Button: Used for playback control and call management.
- 2. LED Indicator (Earphones): Displays charging and pairing status.
- Charging Case Components:
- 3. Charging Case: Houses and charges the earphones.
- 4. LED Indicator 1 (Charging Status of Earphone): Shows the charging status of the earphones when they are placed inside the case.
- 5. LED Indicator 2 (Charging Status of Case): Shows the charging status of the charging case itself.
- 6. Power Button: Activates charging for the earphones when they are in the case.
- 7. Micro USB Port: Used for charging the charging case.
How to Use
Upon receiving the product, unpack all parts and check for any damage that may have occurred during transportation. If any parts are damaged or missing, please contact the Naxa after-sales service team. Clean the appliance and its components before use.
- Fully charge the earphones and the charging case before the first use.
- To charge, first charge the case, or insert the earphones into the case to charge both simultaneously using the micro-USB charging cable.
- Disconnect the USB cable once charging is complete.
WARNING: Never use detergents, solvents, abrasive products, scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, sharp objects, or wire brushes to clean the product.
Storage
- Store the earphones securely within the charging case.
- Recharge the charging case regularly, especially if it will not be used for extended periods (e.g., more than 6 months), to maintain battery health.
Bluetooth® Operation
- Remove the earphones from the charging case.
- Press and hold the Multifunction button (1) on both earphones for approximately 2 seconds. You will hear a "POWER ON" voice prompt, and the blue and red LEDs (2) on both earphones will begin to blink alternately, indicating Pairing Mode.
- On your mobile device, turn on Bluetooth. Search for available devices and select "NAXA NE-979" to establish a connection.
- Once pairing is successful, the blue LEDs (2) on both earphones will blink slowly, and you will hear a "CONNECTED" voice prompt.
Note: After successful pairing, the earphones will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when turned on within range and when Bluetooth is enabled on the mobile device.
A low battery level may result in a poor Bluetooth connection. If the Bluetooth connection is lost, recharge the batteries and repeat the pairing steps.
Playback
- To play a song through your Bluetooth earbuds, press the multi-function button once.
- To pause a song, press the multi-function button again.
Answering Calls
- To answer an incoming call, briefly press the multi-function button once.
- To end an active call, briefly press the multi-function button again.
- To reject an incoming call, press and hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds.
- To redial the last number, press the multi-function button twice.
Charging Earbuds
- Open the lid of the charging case.
- Insert the earphones into their respective slots within the case.
- Press the power button (6) located on the bottom of the charging case. The earphones will begin to charge.
- The LEDs (2) on the earphones indicate their charging status: Red light means charging; Off means fully charged.
Note: When the earphone batteries are low, an alert tone will sound, and the blue LED indicators (2) will blink slowly.
Charging Case
When fully charged, the case can provide approximately 2.5 full charges to the earphones.
- Insert the micro-USB connector of the charging cable into the micro-USB charging port (8) located on the back of the charging case.
- Connect the USB-A plug of the cable to a USB power adapter plugged into a wall socket or to a computer's USB port.
- The LED (4) on the charging case displays the charging status of the earphones when they are inside the case: Blue light indicates charging; Off indicates fully charged.
- The LED (5) on the charging case displays the charging status of the case itself: Red and blinking indicates charging; Solid Red indicates fully charged.
- Disconnect the USB cable once the charging process is complete.
Note: When the earphone batteries are low, a voice prompt will announce "low battery," and the LED indicators (2) will flash red.
