Yamaha Music Innovations Begins Collaboration with US Startup Groover to Support Music Career Development Platform

First Initiative: Music Contest in Brazil to Create Opportunities for Creators

Yamaha Music Innovations, LLC (YMI), a US subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, has commenced a collaboration with Groover, a platform that has facilitated matching for approximately 1 million artists, creators, and industry professionals worldwide. The first initiative under this partnership will be the "Yamaha × Groover Contest: Win Your New Music Production Studio," jointly organized by YMI and Yamaha Musical do Brasil Ltda., Yamaha's subsidiary in Brazil.

This collaboration aims to leverage YMI as a hub for open innovation, fostering collaboration between Yamaha group companies and startups to expand customer bases and strengthen businesses in the growing Brazilian market. By providing artists and creators based in Brazil with opportunities to express themselves, Yamaha seeks to build relationships and promote co-creation within the music community. Feedback from these initiatives will inform the development of products and content rooted in local culture, contributing to the preservation and development of regional music culture in the future.

YMI drives the creation of new businesses and the strengthening of existing ones through a dual approach of business development/collaboration activities and CVC (Corporate Venture Capital) investments. Since establishing its presence in 2024, YMI has engaged in collaborations with various startups, making this partnership the seventh such initiative. Yamaha will continue to accelerate sustainable business growth and innovation by pursuing both startup collaborations and strategic investments.
