Product Visual Description
The product package includes two chrome-finished covers for passenger floorboards: one for the left side and one for the right side.
Installation Instructions
Part Numbers: 78180, 78181
- Place the motorcycle on its center stand and allow the engine to cool.
- Open the right saddlebag and remove the side cover panel. (Visual reference: Fig. 1 shows accessing the panel).
- Remove two push darts and set them aside for reinstallation. To release, push the center pin of each dart until it clicks. (Visual reference: Fig. 2 illustrates the push dart release mechanism, showing a push-to-release action).
- Remove the 3mm Allen screw located at the bottom of the cover. (Visual reference: Fig. 3 points to the 3mm Allen screw location).
- Remove the 10mm hex bolt situated at the top left of the cover. (Visual reference: Fig. 4 points to the 10mm hex bolt location).
- Pull the wire cable from its clip and remove the cover. This step applies only to the right side. (Visual reference: Fig. 5 shows the wire cable and clip that needs to be detached).
- Transfer the grommet, wire cable clip (right side only), and bumper from the old cover to the new cover. (Visual reference: Fig. 6 details the components to be reused: grommet, wire cable clip, and bumper).
- Install the new right side cover by performing the removal steps in reverse order.
- The left side installation is identical to the right side, with the key difference being the absence of a wire clip on the left side cover.
