Product Overview

This document provides instructions for the Tuya Smart WiFi Water Level Monitor. It allows users to monitor liquid levels in tanks remotely via a smartphone app.

System Components and Connectivity

The system consists of:

• Sensor: Placed in the tank to measure liquid level.
• Indicator: Receives data from the sensor and transmits it via Wi-Fi.
• Router: Connects the indicator to the internet for remote access.

Connectivity:

• RF433MHz between sensor and indicator (max 150m without obstacles).
• Wi-Fi between indicator and router (max 50m without obstacles).

Indicator LED Status:

• Blue LED: Indicates liquid level (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).
• Yellow LED (on/off): Indicates pump status (on/off).
• Yellow LED (flashing): Indicates alarm and buzzer beeping.

Pump Operation Modes:

• Refilling: Alarms when the tank is at a high level.
• Draining: Alarms when the tank is at a low level.

Button Functions:

• Press 3 seconds for Wi-Fi connection.
• Click to turn off the alarm.

Installation

1. Mount the Indicator on a wall using the provided 3M tape and connect it to a power adapter.
2. Mount the Sensor on top of the tank and connect it to a power adapter.

Important Notes:

• Power on the indicator first, then the sensor.
• The sensor should be centrally located in the tank, away from liquid inlets.
• The installation hole for the sensor should be 72mm.
• Ensure the sensor is not in direct contact with the liquid and is placed away from the tank wall for optimal performance.

Connection and Setup

1. Download App: Scan the QR code to download the "TUYA Smart APP" or "Smart Life APP" on your mobile device (iOS or Android).
2. Add Device:
   • Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.
   • Open the app and navigate to "Home" > "Add Device".
   • Select "Add Manually" and choose the "Tank level monitor" device.
   • Note: Wi-Fi frequency must be 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
   • Enter your Wi-Fi account and password.
   • Ensure the indicator and your mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.
   • If connection fails, press the indicator's button for a few seconds until it beeps to re-initiate pairing.
3. Create a Scene:
   • Edit the scene name and click "Confirm".
   • Scenes can be configured based on various triggers, such as "When device status changes" or "When weather changes".

Settings

1. Set Installation Height: This is the distance from the sensor to the tank bottom.
2. Set Sensor to Liquid Full Line: This is the distance from the sensor to the full liquid line.
3. Select Pump Working Mode: Choose between "Refilling" (default) or "Drainage" mode.
4. Set Max for High Level Alarm: Define the threshold for high-level alerts.
5. Set Min for Low Level Alarm: Define the threshold for low-level alerts.
6. Set Alarm: Configure alarm settings within the app.

Multi-Tank Monitoring

The system supports monitoring multiple tanks simultaneously. Users can add and manage different tanks (e.g., Tank A, Tank B, Tank C) within the app.

Sharing Device Data: Water tank data can be shared with other users through the app.

Wi-Fi Smart Socket (Optional)

The optional Wi-Fi smart socket can be controlled via the app for automated actions, such as turning a pump on or off based on liquid levels.

Setup:

1. Power on the smart plug. If the LED does not flash, press and hold the button for 10 seconds to enter connection mode.
2. Add the smart plug to the app following similar steps as adding the water level monitor.

Smart Plug Features:

• App control for convenience.
• Scheduling capabilities for timed operations.
• Can be used independently of the water level monitor.

Automation Example: Create a scene where the smart plug turns ON when the liquid level reaches a low threshold and OFF when it reaches a high threshold.
