Technical Support Apprenticeship – Legrand Care, Cramlington
Overview
Combine workplace experience with fully funded education, while earning a salary and professional experience. Become a Technical Support Engineer through the apprenticeship route and obtain Level 3 in IT Solutions Technician accredited qualification with Train'd Up.
You will be working as part of the technical support team to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment hardware and software.
Offering front line technical support to our installation partners, whilst working closely with our internal service team. We will also support your career development with off the job training in emergency call systems and gain hands-on experience from our dedicated Service Team and internal training.
Key Duties
- Providing first line phone and email support to customers and installation partners.
- Providing advice and support to existing and new customers while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensuring calls and emails are answered promptly whilst provided good customer service.
- Effective case management, responding to cases and queries on Salesforce.
- Liaising with both service support and customer enquiries.
- Offer support to Field Engineers and third parties on technical issues when needed, as well as maintaining strong relationship with them.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and diagnose reported issues.
- Create internal reports and maintain the customer / case database for quality purposes.
- Understanding measurement and reporting of internal KPI's.
- Liaise with our Business Development Managers and Regional Sales Executives maintaining.
- Assisting the team with additional duties when required.

- Excellent customer services skills: email and telephone handling, patient, positive, empathetic, confident, professional.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quick to critical situations.
- Ability to deal with customers, team members at all levels and third parties.
- Tech savvy – ability to learn new products in a short period, understand basic networking and computing.
- Team player with a desire to help others.
- Computer literate – good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks.
- Be self-motivated and able to work in a demanding environment.
Working Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00.
Work Location
Legrand Care, Cramlington.
