Important Safety Information

  1. Keep the product and all its parts out of reach of small children.
  2. Do NOT leave it in high temperatures as electronic devices and plastic parts may warp in heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
  3. Do NOT leave it in low temperatures as moisture can form inside the product, which may damage the circuit board.
  4. Do NOT attempt to open the product. This product does not contain any user serviceable parts. Unauthorized handling of the device may damage it and will void your warranty.
  5. Disconnect your Radio from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.
  6. Always check that you have completely switched off your Radio before you change or disconnect the power supply.
  7. If the Radio will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that all of the batteries are removed from the battery compartment and the mains power is unplugged.
  8. Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing. Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Dispose of old batteries carefully.
  9. Batteries are harmful if swallowed, so keep away from young children.

Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorized power supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the product.

Overview

Wireless Charging Pad 5W

Description of the top panel of the Groov-e GV-WC06 Atlas:

  • Top: Wireless Charging Pad (5W)
  • Front Buttons (Left to Right): MEM-/TUN-, VOL-, VOL+, ALARM 1 (ON/OFF), ALARM 2 (ON/OFF), TUN-, TUN+, MEM+, MEM+, SCAN ON/OFF, SNOOZE/DIMMER.
  • Display Area: LED Display showing time (e.g., "12:08"), PM/FM indicators, ZZ (Snooze), SLEEP, ALM1, ALM2 indicators.

  • Controls: TIME SETTING, SLEEP MODE, 12/24H TIME SET
  • Speaker: Speaker grille
  • Ports: USB OUT (5V/1A), DC IN (for mains adapter)

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To switch on: Connect the supplied adapter to the “DC IN" charging port and plug into your mains power outlet.

To Switch off: Disconnect from the mains power outlet.

Time Memory

You can insert 2 "AAA 1.5V" batteries into the bottom battery holder. This will maintain power to the clock's time memory function during a power cut.

Time Setting

In clock mode, long press the "Time Setting" button. The hour number will flash. Short press "MEM-/TUN-" or "MEM+/TUN+" to adjust the hours. Short press "Time Setting" again; the minute numbers will flash. Short press "MEM-/TUN-" or "MEM+/TUN+" to adjust the minutes. Short press "Time Setting" again to save and exit.

When first switched on, the default time is "12:08" PM. Short press the "Time Setting" button to switch between 12H/24H time modes.

Operating Instructions

Alarm Clock Settings

Ensure the radio function is switched off. In clock mode, short press twice the "Alarm Clock1" button to turn on/off Alarm clock 1.

When the Alarm 1 indicator lights, long press the "Alarm Clock1" button. The hour number will flash. Short press “MEM-/TUN-" or “MEM+/TUN+" to adjust the hour.

After setting the hour, short press the "Alarm Clock1" button. The minutes number will flash. Short press "MEM-/TUN-" or "MEM+/TUN+" to adjust the minutes.

After setting the minutes, short press the "Alarm Clock1" button. The display will show “BUZ". Short press "MEM-/TUN-" or "MEM+/TUN+" to select the alarm tone: "BUZ" (default buzzer) or "RAD" (FM radio). If "RAD" is selected, the alarm will use the last FM station listened to.

After setting the alarm tone, short press the "Alarm Clock1" button to enter volume adjustment. Short press “MEM-/TUN-" or "MEM+/TUN+" to adjust the volume. Short press the "Alarm Clock1" button to save all settings and exit.

To stop Alarm Clock 1 when it rings, short press the "Alarm Clock1" button. It will stop and ring again the next day at the same time.

Alarm Clock 2 repeats the same settings as Alarm Clock 1.

Operating Instructions

Sleep Mode

In FM radio mode, short press the "Sleep Mode" button to select automatic turn-off times: 120mins, 90mins, 60mins, 45mins, 30mins, 15mins, or "OFF" to turn off Sleep mode.

Snooze/Dimmer Function

Snooze: Short press the “Snooze/Dimmer" button when the alarm rings. The alarm will stop and ring again after 10 minutes.

Dimmer: Short press the “Snooze/Dimmer" button to choose from 4 brightness levels for the display panel: High, Medium, Low, or Off.

FM Radio

  1. Position and fix the aerial to receive the best possible FM reception.
  2. Long press the ON/OFF button to turn on the FM Radio.
  3. Long press the SCAN button to search for channels automatically. Available channels will be saved in order of preset positions until the auto search ends.

Operating Instructions

Moving Stations to Favourite Preset Numbers

  1. Scroll through automatically saved preset stations by short pressing MEM-/TUN- or MEM+/TUN+.
  2. While listening to a desired station, long press the TIME SETTING button. The LED display will show "P.." flashing.
  3. Short press MEM-/TUN- or MEM+/TUN+ to choose a favourite preset number (e.g., P01). Short press TIME SETTING to save.
  4. Short press MEM-/TUN- or MEM+/TUN+ to select the next channel and repeat from instruction 2 to save channels in your preferred order.

Charging

To enable wireless charging, ensure the product is plugged in using the Mains adapter supplied.

Place your wireless charging enabled device on the charging pad. Your device will start charging. The indicator light will be a solid blue. A flashing blue light indicates a non-wireless charging device has been detected on the pad.

Note: Your device must have wireless charging capabilities to use this function.

USB Output

The "USB Port" supports 5V/1A output charging.

Guarantee

Subject to the conditions stated below, Groov-e guarantees this equipment against defects in workmanship or materials of its mechanical and electronic component parts (excluding styling, battery cells, magnetic tapes, re-chargeable batteries, user removable memory devices, with the exception where the battery is inbuilt into the product) for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This product will be repaired or if necessary replaced free of charge if it has been proven to be defective within the one year warranty period.

  1. Claims under this guarantee should be made through the authorised dealer/retailer from whom the equipment was purchased. If this is not possible, please contact Groov-e directly.
  2. This guarantee is only valid when the equipment is purchased and retained within the United Kingdom and a valid proof of purchase has been provided.
  3. This Guarantee Excludes:
    • (i) All damage caused through accident, misuse, wear and tear, neglect, installation and/or use in a manner inconsistent with technical and safety standards.
    • (ii) Alterations or adjustments made to equipment.
    • (iii) Loss of data resultant from malfunction of hard drive or other storage device.
    • (iv) Damage caused to any third party device as a result of using the product.
  4. No liability under this guarantee shall be incurred: In respect of damage or loss occurring during transit to or from the purchaser.
  5. Groov-e shall not be liable for consequential damage, loss or injury arising from or in connection with the equipment, excepting only that nothing in this condition shall or shall be construed so as to exclude or restrict liability for negligence.
  6. The cost of carriage to and from Groov-e shall be borne by the purchaser.
  7. This guarantee is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
  8. If the equipment, in respect of which a claim hereunder is made, is found on examination to comply with the published specifications, a test fee may be incurred.

This guarantee is in addition to and does not in any way affect any statutory or other right of consumer purchasers, including those rights in relation to sections 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumer Regulations 2002, The Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 (for ROI).
