Safety Notes
This unit includes a safety feature that prevents in-dash video functions from operating when the vehicle is not in Park and the parking brake is not engaged. Viewing video while driving is illegal in most jurisdictions and can lead to driver distraction, resulting in serious injury or death.
This SAFETY NOTICE serves as a reminder to drive responsibly and safely when using your mobile phone or compatible apps. It is highly recommended that your Jensen unit be installed by a professional installer or authorized dealer. This product is designed for vehicles with a 12VDC negative ground only.
To Prevent Damage or Injury:
- Ensure the unit is securely grounded to the vehicle's chassis ground.
- Do not remove the top or bottom covers of the unit.
- Avoid installing the unit in direct sunlight, areas of excessive heat, or where it may be exposed to water splashing.
- Do not subject the unit to excessive shock.
- When replacing a fuse, use only a new one with the correct rating. An incorrect fuse can cause malfunction.
- Disconnect the wiring harness before replacing a fuse to prevent short circuits.
- Use only the provided hardware and wire harness.
- Consult your nearest Jensen dealer if you experience installation problems.
- If the unit malfunctions, attempt a reset as described. If the problem persists, consult your Jensen dealer or call technical assistance at 1-888-921-4088.
- Clean the monitor with a dry silicone or soft cloth only. Avoid stiff cloths or solvents like paint thinner and alcohol, as they can scratch the panel or remove printing.
- In cold temperatures, the liquid crystal display may appear darker. Brightness will return to normal after the unit has been in use for a while.
- When extending ignition, battery, or ground wiring, use automotive-grade wiring with a minimum AWG 16 to prevent voltage drops.
- Do not touch the liquid crystal fluid if the LCD is damaged or broken, as it may be hazardous to your health or fatal. If contact occurs, wash affected areas with soap immediately.
