Product Overview

This document provides instructions for the GE 18" Iron Frame Ball LED Light String, Model No. 72151LO. It includes important safety instructions, installation guidelines, and usage recommendations.

Important Safety Instructions

General Precautions:

• For outdoor use, connect to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet. Contact a qualified electrician if a GFCI outlet is not provided.
• This product is for seasonal use and not intended for permanent installation.
• Do not place near heat sources like heaters, fireplaces, or candles.
• Do not plug in the power adapter while the product is in packaging.
• Secure wiring properly, avoiding staples or nails.
• Do not let lamps rest on the supply cord or wires.
• Unplug the product when leaving the house, retiring for the night, or if unattended.
• This is an electric product, not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
• Use only for its intended purpose.
• Do not hang objects from the cord or light string.
• Avoid closing doors or windows on the product or extension cords, as this may damage wire insulation.
• Do not cover the product with materials not part of the product when in use.
• Do not install or use within 10 feet of a pool.
• Do not use in a bathroom.
• Read and follow all instructions provided with the product.

Warnings:

• Keep away from children.
• If the supply cord or wires are damaged, discard the product.
• Risk of Electric Shock: For outdoor use, install only to a covered, GFCI-protected receptacle. Ensure the power unit and cord do not interfere with the receptacle cover.
• Risk of Fire: Installation may require special wiring methods. Consult a qualified electrician.
• For outdoor use, ensure the transformer is protected from water or rain while plugged in. Do not use if only part of the transformer is protected. The power unit should be oriented vertically or for floor mount.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The ball does not light when plugged in.

Solution: Ensure all light string connections are secured.

General Information

Protective Device: The transformer has a built-in fuse that automatically cuts power if a short circuit occurs due to unstable input power or overloaded output. This fuse is a one-shot device and cannot be reset; replace the transformer.

Note:

• Use only the provided Class 2 power supply (Model: TS-5V2A) manufactured by TING SHEN INDUSTRIAL CO LTD. Do not use this adapter with other products.
• LEDs in this set are non-replaceable. Tampering voids the warranty.

Installation

• This product can be installed indoors or outdoors. Avoid splashing water onto the transformer.
• General Information:
• Product may be damaged if used in extreme temperatures.
• Do not modify the product wiring.
• Ensure correct voltage by checking the transformer's nameplate.
• After installation, plug into a 120VAC/60Hz electrical outlet.
• Caution: This lighting string is rated 19.2 Watts (0.16Amps). Do not overload.

Use and Care Instructions

1. Inspect the product carefully before use or reuse. Discard any products with cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in lamp holders or enclosures, loose connections, or exposed copper wire.
2. When storing, carefully remove the product from its location to avoid strain on conductors, connections, and wires.
3. Store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight when not in use.
4. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to replace lamps or modify the string.
5. Use 2 AAA batteries for the remote controller.
6. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
7. Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
8. Remove exhausted batteries from the product.
9. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK.
10. Caution for ingestion (small batteries only).
11. Do not mix different battery types (alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).
12. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Remote Control and Control Box Functions

The Power On/Off functions and lighting modes can be controlled with either the remote control or the control box.

Remote Control Diagram:

The remote control has an RF emission area and an indicator light. Buttons are labeled A through I, with C being the Timer function.

Timer Mode (C): Pressing the Timer button activates a 5-hour lighting timer. The lights will automatically turn off after 5 hours. The product will turn on automatically the next evening at the same time. The remote control's On/Off power switch cancels the Timer function.

Function Keys (A-I, excluding C): These keys correspond to the functions listed for the switches. Pressing a key selects the corresponding function. Pressing key B repeatedly cycles through its functions (White Twinkle, Multi Twinkle, Twinkle).

Control Box Function Switch:

The timer function cannot be activated using the control box button switch. The function sequence for the control box button is as follows:

• Key A
• Keys B (1-3)
• Keys D (1-3)
• Keys E (1-2)
• Keys F (1-9)
• Keys G (1-3)
• Keys H (1-2)
• Key I
• ON/OFF function
