Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed, including:

Read and follow all safety instructions.
Do not use seasonal products outdoors unless marked suitable for indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor use, connect to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet.
This product is intended for seasonal use, not permanent installation.
Do not mount or place near heat sources like heaters, fireplaces, or candles.
Do not secure wiring with staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks.
Do not let lamps rest on the supply cord or any wire.
Unplug the product when leaving the house, retiring for the night, or if left unattended.
This is an electric product, not a toy. Keep out of reach of children to avoid fire, burns, personal injury, and electric shock.
Use only for its intended purpose.
Do not hang ornaments or other objects from the cord, wire, or light string.
Do not place lighting string on carpeting, drapes, furniture, or allow contact with vinyl siding while power is on.
Do not perform maintenance or troubleshoot for bad/broken lamps while the power is on.
Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords, as this may damage wire insulation.
Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part of the product when in use.
This product uses push-in type lamps; do not twist lamps.
The product has overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit. Unplug the product and any attached strings. Replace fuse as per user instructions (check product marking for proper rating). If replacement fuse blows, discard the product due to potential short-circuit.
Read and follow all instructions on the product or provided with it.
Save these instructions.

Use and Care Instructions

For use on live trees: Ensure the tree is well-maintained and fresh. Do not use on trees with brown or easily breaking needles. Keep the tree holder filled with water.
For use on trees: Ensure the tree is well-secured and stable.
Before using or reusing, inspect the product carefully. Discard any products with cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in lampholders or enclosures, loose connections, or exposed copper wire.
When storing, carefully remove the product from branches or bushes to avoid undue strain on conductors, connections, and wires.
Store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight when not in use.

User Servicing Instructions

Fuse Replacement

Fuses often blow due to too many sets being connected end-to-end.

Before changing fuses, ensure the set is unplugged.
Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling the cord.
Using a flathead screwdriver, open the fuse cover. Slide open the fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the blades.
Remove fuses carefully.
Risk of fire: Replace fuse only with a 3 Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with the product).
Close the fuse cover. Slide the fuse access cover closed. Ensure the door is fully closed and fuses are completely covered.
Risk of fire: Do not replace the current tap. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the current tap is damaged.

Bulb Replacement

Before changing bulbs, ensure the set is unplugged.

Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling the cord.
Hold the bulb by its plastic base and pull the bulb/base straight out of the socket.
Replace the lamp with only a 2.5 Volt, 0.425 Watt super brightness midget push-in type lamp provided with the product. Push the spare bulb/base assembly into the socket. Do not twist the bulb when inserting. If bulbs are twisted, part of the set will not light.

If spare bulbs have no plastic base or the base does not fit:

Follow steps 1-2 above.
Remove the old bulb by straightening its wires and pulling it straight from the base.
Replace with the new bulb by straightening its leads and aiming each wire into a separate hole in the plastic base.
Ensure each bulb lead comes out an exit opening at the bottom of the plastic base.
Bend each lead up so it fits closely against the narrow side of the plastic base.

Electrical Specifications and Connectivity

This lighting string is rated 61.2 Watts (0.51 Amps). Do not overload.
Connect other lighting strings or decorative outfits end-to-end up to a maximum of 216 Watts (1.8 Amps) total.
To calculate wattage for strings without a Wattage (W) rating (found on the tag within 6 inches of the plug): Multiply the current (e.g., 0.51A) by 120V. Example: 0.51A x 120V = 61.2 Watts. Sum the wattage of each light string for a total of 216 Watts or less.
Maximum connected same GE Light Sets: 3 sets, 450 lights total.
To reduce the risk of overheating, replace burned-out lamps promptly. Use only 2.5 Volt, 0.425 Watt lamps.
To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock:
- Do not install on trees having needles, leaves, or branch coverings of metal or materials that look like metal.
- Do not mount or support strings in a manner that can cut or damage wire insulation.

1-Year Lighting Limited Guarantee

Subject to the Exclusions Below

This product was pre-tested and date coded. It is intended for residential seasonal installation and use (90 days maximum per year). Nicolas Holiday Ltd.'s 1-year Limited Guarantee covers repair or replacement (same or equivalent) within one year from the date of purchase.

Troubleshooting tips are included in the use and care guide. If troubleshooting is unsuccessful, send the product prepaid with a legible copy of your sales receipt to: St. Nick’s Fix, 246 Spring Hill Road, Trumbull, CT 06611, Attention: Customer Service. Include your name, return address, contact phone number, and email address. Allow four (4) to six (6) weeks for processing.

Exclusions

This guarantee applies only if the product is used as intended. Accessories like clips and stakes are guaranteed for the first season only. This Limited Guarantee does not cover:

Commercial applications.
Burned-out bulbs/LEDs.
Misuse or tampering.
Batteries.
Damage caused by improper consumer handling.
Components that may weather, age, or discolor due to chemical reactions from exposure to UV, oils, heat, acid rain, atmospheric oxygen, or some salts.

Any implied guarantees, including those of MERCHANTABILITY and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, are limited to the duration of this Limited Guarantee. The repair or replacement provided is the exclusive remedy. Nicolas Holiday, Ltd. is not liable for damages exceeding the purchase price or for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from product use, to the extent permitted by law.

Some states/jurisdictions may not allow limitations on incidental/consequential damages or implied guarantee duration, so these limitations may not apply to you. This guarantee grants specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by location.
