Firmware Update v1.10: New Functions
Introduction
This document details functions that have been added or changed as a result of firmware updates for the FUJIFILM X-E5 digital camera, specifically version 1.10. Functions may no longer correspond to descriptions in documentation supplied with the product.

Connecting to a Smartphone
Pair the camera with your smartphone and connect via Bluetooth®.
Step 1: Initiate Bluetooth Connection
Press and hold the ? (Bluetooth) button. The Bluetooth settings menu will be displayed.
Note: The menu can also be displayed by pressing and holding the DISP/BACK button.
You can also pair the camera with your smartphone via the Bluetooth & FUNCTION (Fn) SETTING, accessed by holding the DISP/BACK button when the camera is in shooting mode.
Step 2: Select Pairing Option
Highlight "PAIRING" and press MENU/OK.
Visual Description: The camera screen shows a menu with options like "PAIRING" and "Bluetooth ON/OFF".
Step 3: Confirm Pairing Code
Start the smartphone app and pair it with the camera to display a code on both the smartphone and the camera. Confirm that both codes match to complete the pairing.
Visual Description: When a connection is established, a smartphone icon (?) and a white Bluetooth icon (⚪️?) appear on the camera screen.
Important Notes:
- Once devices are paired, the smartphone will automatically connect to the camera when the application is launched.
- To conserve battery life, turn off Bluetooth when the camera is not connected to a smartphone.
