Safety Instructions

Before installing or maintaining the Zaptec Go, it is crucial to read and follow all safety instructions provided in this manual. Failure to do so may invalidate the warranty and relieve Zaptec Charger AS and its partners of all liability and claims for compensation.

• Installation, repair, and maintenance must only be performed by qualified personnel.
• All repairs must be carried out by Zaptec or an authorized workshop.
• Adhere to all applicable local, regional, and national laws and regulations during installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Do not install or use a product that is damaged in any way.
• Avoid installing the charger in locations exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Mount the Charging Station

Description: Remove the front cover of the Zaptec Go unit. Use the built-in spirit level to ensure the charger is mounted straight. Fix the charger at an appropriate height, ensuring it is at least 0.9 meters (approx. 3 feet) from the ground.

Tools and Parts:

• Zaptec Go charging station
• Screws (Type E, F, G)
• Drill with appropriate drill bits (e.g., 12-18 mm Ø, 8-14 mm Ø)
• Torque wrench (recommended 3 Nm max for connections)

Step 2: Connect the Power Cable

Requirements: The Zaptec Go requires an upstream circuit breaker and an RCD Type A (30mA). For installations involving multiple chargers or connection to an IT grid, consult zaptec.com/help for specific instructions.

Procedure:

1. Choose one of the three cable entry options: top, back, or bottom (labeled H, I, J in diagrams). Drill out the selected entry point.
2. Carefully pull the terminal cover downwards to remove it, exposing the connection terminals.
3. Connect all wires to the appropriate terminals, ensuring each lever is firmly pressed down as illustrated.
4. Fit the cable clamp and seals (F) to ensure a secure installation.
5. Replace the terminal cover.
6. Turn on the circuit breaker to supply power to the charger.

Note: Connections should be tightened to a maximum of 3 Nm.

Step 3: Configure the Charger

Configuration via Zaptec App:

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
2. Open your device's camera app and scan the QR code located on the charger (or inside it).
3. If prompted, install the Zaptec app from your app store.
4. Log in to your Zaptec account.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to enter installation details and save the configuration.

Configuration without App:

• Turn the rotary switch on the charger to set the desired maximum current.
• Important: Configuring without the app will limit functionality, including phase selection. App configuration is recommended for full features.

Step 4: Finalize Installation and Handover

Procedure:

1. Replace the front cover of the charger.
2. Confirm that the status indicator light (✅) is white.
3. After installation, you can use your Zaptec account and the app to access and manage settings.
4. From the app's Home screen, tap "Configure product" and enter the PIN.
5. Verify the charger is online, update its firmware, and perform the RCD test as required.
6. You can now hand over the owner's manual to the customer and explain where to find the PIN.
7. If the charger was installed using your Zaptec account, it will be accessible in the Zaptec Portal once registered by the owner.
