Charging
AC Charging
- Consider the specifications of the utility, AC outlet, and charging cable before setting the Max. Grid Input Current.
- Plug the AC500+B300K into the wall outlet via the AC charging cable.
The Max. Grid Input Current is set at 10A by default and only works when AC500+B300K connects to the grid. For password, contact BLUETTI Customer Service.
Generator Charging
Connect AC500+B300K to the generator via the charging cable*. BLUETTI recommends an inverter generator that delivers at least 5000W pure sine wave AC power. Voltage and frequency limit: EU/UK: 195.5-253VAC/47-53Hz, AU: 204-264VAC/47-53Hz.
PV Charging
AC500+B300K supports dual PV input with the DC input cable. Connect the solar panels (in series or parallel) to AC500+B300K and check the PV connection on the LCD screen.
Connection Diagram: Shows DC1 PV+/- and DC2 PV+/- ports on the side of the unit and the corresponding DC input cable connectors.
Note: Please make sure your solar panels at each input comply with:
- OCV: 12-150V
- Vmp: 12-150V
- Power: 1500W Max.
Example: Connecting three BLUETTI PV350 solar panels in series to DC1 or DC2. PV350 specs: Voc=46.5V, Vmp=37.5V, Current=9.2A Max. Total: Voc=139.5V, Vmp=112.5V, Current=9.2A Max.
The LCD screen displays DC input voltage and power for DC1 and DC2.
OCV: Open circuit voltage, the maximum voltage a solar panel can produce with no load. Vmp: Voltage at maximum power.
The roof panel can also charge the AC500+B300K. If the panel's OCV falls in 150-550V, please use the D300S to lower the voltage. Refer to the D300S PV Voltage Step Down Module User Manual for details.
Car Charging
Connect the AC500+B300K to the vehicle's cigarette lighter port via the DC input cable and car charging cable. Set 'Others' as the DC1/DC2 input source to enable car charging. The Max. input current is 8.2A.
Lead-acid Battery Charging
Connect the AC500+B300K with a lead-acid battery via the DC input cable and lead-acid battery charging cable. Set 'Others' as the DC1/DC2 input source to enable lead-acid battery charging. Clamp the positive connector (red) to the positive battery terminal and the negative connector (black) to the negative terminal. The Max. input current is 8.2A.
The lead-acid charging cable is for charging AC500+B300K ONLY.
Dual Charging
Configure input sources for combined charging:
- Set 'PV' as DC1/DC2 input source to enable AC/Generator + PV Charging.
- Set 'Others' as DC1/DC2 input source to enable AC/Generator + Adapter/ Car/Lead-acid Battery Charging.
- Turn on 'PV Parallel Enable' to allow excessive PV charging (>1500W, <150V).
Charging Source Diagram: Illustrates various charging sources including Wall Outlet, Generator, AC Adapter, Solar Panel(s), Car, and Lead-acid Battery, showing how they connect to the AC500+B300K.
Discharging
The AC500+B300K can power various devices. Estimated runtimes based on a 5529.6Wh capacity (with 2*B300K) and typical load power:
- Fridge (700W): 3-4 Days
- Microwave Oven (1000W): 4-5 hrs
- Washing Machine (500/1000W): 5.2/10.5 hrs
- Space Heater (1500W): 2.5-3.5 hrs
- Air Conditioner (8000Btu): 6-7 hrs
- Laptop (45Wh): 110-116 Times
- Electric Vehicle (16A, 1800W): 11-15 Miles
- Smartphone (18Wh): 285-292 Times
Formula for estimated discharging time: Capacity × DoD × η ÷ (load power) = discharging time. DoD (Depth of Discharge) is typically 95%, and inverter efficiency (η) is typically 90%. DoD may vary depending on ambient temperature and discharge rate.
Capacity Expansion
The AC500+B300K supports up to 6 expansion batteries for a total capacity of 16,588.8Wh. Connect the AC500+B300K via the P150D to P090D cable. For more details, refer to the B300K User Manual.
Connection Diagram: Shows how to connect expansion batteries to the AC500, using the specified cable and securing with locks.
UPS
Plug the AC500+B300K combo into a standard wall outlet or connect it to the grid. When the grid fails, the combo provides power for connected devices.
- Online UPS: Supplies power from the grid to the load through a rectifier and inverter combination, regardless of grid power status.
- Offline UPS: Supplies power directly from the grid to the load when grid power is available. During a power outage, it provides power to the load through the backup battery.
Plug-in UPS Diagram: Shows the AC500+B300K plugged into a wall outlet, powering a laptop.
Grid-tied UPS
Grid-tied UPS Diagram: Illustrates a more complex setup where the AC500+B300K is integrated into the home's electrical system via a main panel and transfer switch, connecting to utility power and loads. This setup should be built by a qualified electrician.
The AC500+B300K offers 4 UPS modes:
- Standard UPS: Ideal for regions with unstable grid power supply.
- Time Control UPS: Saves electricity bills by setting charging and discharging times.
- PV Priority UPS: Best for regions with abundant sunlight year-round.
- Customized UPS: Allows users to design their power supply system.
Please refer to BLUETTI Support on YouTube for detailed instructions on UPS modes.
BLUETTI APP
Download the BLUETTI app from the App Store or Google Play to manage your power station.
App Download Links: QR codes and links for App Store and Google Play are provided.
Power Lifting Mode
This mode can be enabled in the BLUETTI App. When active, the combo can power high-drain pure resistive loads (up to 6000W), while the rated output power remains 5000W.
Note: Ensure the combo disconnects from the grid and the B300K does not overload. The AC500+B300K detects device resistance and adjusts output voltage automatically. The mode may fail if the AC500+B300K voltage drops below 70% of its rated voltage.
This mode is suitable for devices like heaters, irons, or other appliances with heating elements.
