5. Setting Up Your Keyboard
- Connect the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro to your computer using the provided USB Type A to Type C cable.
- Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download the installer from razer.com/synapse.
6. Using Your Razer Keyboard
Media Controls:
- Remappable Macro button 1: Press to open Xbox Game Bar on Windows*.
- Remappable Macro button 2: Press to open Task View on Windows*.
- Multi-function Media button:
- Press once to play/pause the current track [play/pause].
- Press twice to go to the next track [next].
- Press thrice to go back to the previous track [previous].
Multi-function Digital Dial:
The dial can be used for:
- Volume Up [volume-up]
- Volume Down [volume-down]
- Mute/Unmute [mute]

On-the-Fly Macro Recording
Follow these steps to create an OTF Macro Recording:
- Press the key combination to start recording.
- Type the keys you want to record.
- Press the key combination to stop the recording or the

key to cancel the recording. - Wait for the OTF Macro record key to start blinking.
- Press the desired Macro key to bind your recording.

[i] All profiles have adjustable actuation points and rapid trigger sensitivities. Aside from the Factory Default profile, all other profiles can be remapped using Razer Synapse app. Profiles mapped with the controller functionality require the Razer Synapse to be installed.
Quick Actuation Point Adjustment
Follow these steps to customize your keyboard's actuation point:
- Press the combination keys
fn + tab
to enter Adjustment Mode*. - Use the Multi-function Digital Dial or the arrow keys to increase or decrease the actuation point.
- Use the LED indicators to determine your ideal setting (in millimeters). The indicators show settings from 0.1mm (Shallow) to 3.6mm (Deep).
- Press any alphanumeric key to test the current setting. The LED indicators light up from left to right to show how deep you need to press a key to fully actuate it.
- Press the combination keys or
Esc
key to save your setting and exit Adjustment Mode. Upon exiting, all keys on the keyboard will be set to the chosen actuation point.
Quick Rapid Trigger Adjustment
Follow these steps to customize your keyboard's actuation point:
- Press the combination keys
fn + caps lock
to enter Adjustment Mode*. - Press the Caps Lock key to enable/disable Rapid Trigger on all keys set with this function. When enabled, the keyboard's backlight is brightly lit orange; when disabled, it is dimly lit orange.
- Use the Multi-function Digital Dial or the arrow keys to increase or decrease the travel distance.
- Use the LED indicators to determine your ideal setting (in millimeters). The indicators show settings from 0.1mm (High) to 1.0mm (Low).
- Press any alphanumeric key to test the current setting. When pressed and released, the key's backlight turns green when actuated and red when it resets.
- Press the combination keys or
Esc
key to save your setting and exit Adjustment Mode. Upon exiting, all keys on the keyboard will be set to the chosen sensitivity.

*While in Adjustment Mode, all non-essential keys and lighting customizations are temporarily disabled. The quick adjustment settings do not permanently overwrite your Synapse Profiles; previously set profiles can be recalled through the Razer Synapse app.

7. Configuring Your Razer Keyboard

All listed features are subject to change based on the current software version, connected device(s), and supported apps and software.
Synapse Tab
The Synapse tab is your default tab when you first launch Razer Synapse.
Dashboard
The Dashboard subtab is an overview of your Razer Synapse, where you can access all your Razer devices, modules, and online services.
The Razer Synapse interface shows tabs for SYNAPSE, KEYBOARD, PROFILES, MODULES, GLOBAL SHORTCUTS, and DEVICES. The Dashboard section displays your Razer Huntsman V3 Pro, other Razer devices, firmware updates, and links to register products, view compatible devices, the Razer Store, Razer Support, and Razer Gold & Silver.
Modules
The Modules subtab displays all installed and available modules for installation. Available modules include:
- ALEXA: Full Alexa Voice Service integration for Chroma enabled devices.
- CHROMA CONNECT: Control center for Chroma enabled apps and third-party hardware.
- CHROMA STUDIO: Advanced Razer Chroma capabilities for creating synchronized lighting effects.
- CHROMA VISUALIZER: Syncs Chroma enabled devices and smart lights with media.
- PHILIPS HUE: Syncs Razer Chroma devices with your Hue Bridge.
- NANOLEAF: Configure light panels with Razer Synapse and synchronize with Chroma devices.
- MACRO: Create and execute complex button presses and commands.
Global Shortcuts
Bind operations or Razer Synapse functions to custom key combinations that apply across all device profiles. Only Razer Synapse-enabled device inputs will be recognized.
The Global Shortcuts interface allows you to add custom key combinations.
Keyboard Tab
The Keyboard tab is the main tab for your Razer Huntsman V3 Pro. From here, you can change your device settings such as key assignments and your device's lighting. Changes are automatically saved to your system and cloud storage.
Default Subtab
The Default subtab is only accessible when your profile is set to Factory Default. This is a fixed setting, and no customization can be done here. To customize your keyboard, change the profile to any other preset profile or add your own.
Customize Subtab
The Customize subtab is for modifying your keyboard's key assignments.
- Profile: A data storage for peripheral settings. Profiles can be added, imported, renamed, duplicated, exported, or deleted. Cycle through profiles using
fn + Menu
keys. - Gaming Mode: Customize which keys to disable when Gaming Mode is activated (e.g., Windows Key, Alt + Tab, Alt + F4).
- Keyboard Properties: Open Windows Keyboard Properties to modify settings like Repeat delay, Repeat Rate, and Cursor blink rate.
- Hypershift: A secondary set of key assignments activated when the Hypershift key is held down (default is the
fn
key).
Gamepad Remapping: Easily change WASD keys to a controller's left joystick function and Q/E keys to bumper buttons.
The Sidebar button reveals all current key assignments. You can drag and drop controller functions onto any key.
When selecting a key assignment, you can change its function to:
- Default: Returns the key to its original setting.
- Keyboard Function: Assigns a keyboard function, with an option for Turbo mode (emulates repeated presses).
- Mouse Function: Assigns a mouse function, with an option for Turbo mode.
- Inter-device: Changes functionality of other Razer Synapse-enabled devices (e.g., changing mouse sensitivity).
- Macro: Executes a prerecorded sequence of keystrokes and button presses (requires Macro module).
- Switch Profile: Quickly change profiles.
- Switch Lighting: Switch between lighting effects (requires Chroma Studio module).
- Razer Hypershift: Activate Hypershift mode.
- Launch Program: Open an app or website.
- Multimedia: Assign multimedia controls.
- Windows Shortcuts: Assign a Windows OS shortcut command.
- Text Function: Type prewritten text.
- Disable: Renders the assigned key unusable.
Actuation Subtab
The Actuation subtab allows you to change the actuation and reset points of your keyboard.
- Actuation: Customize the activation point of each key by setting a slider for how deep you press the key.
- Rapid Trigger: Change the sensitivity of each key. Adjust travel distance for activation and reset. You can also separate upstroke and downstroke sensitivity.
Lighting Subtab
The Lighting subtab enables you to modify your Razer device's light settings.
- Brightness: Turn off or adjust the luminance of the device's lighting.
- Switch Off Lighting: A power-saving tool to disable lighting when the display is off or the device is idle.
- Quick Effects: Apply preset lighting effects. Examples include:
- Ambient awareness: Lighting reflects the averaged color on the selected screen region.
- Audio meter: Lighting reacts to audio levels.
- Breathing: Fades in and out with selected colors.
- Fire: Warm colors mimic flames.
- Radiate: Pulsating light effect.
- Reactive: Lights up when a key is pressed, then fades.
- Ripple: Light ripples away from the pressed key.
- Spectrum cycling: Cycles through millions of colors.
- Starlight: LEDs fade in and out randomly.
- Static: LEDs remain lit in a selected color.
- Wave: Lighting scrolls in a selected direction.
- Wheel: Lighting rotates with a spectrum of colors.
[i] Only devices that support the selected lighting effect will synchronize. LED indicators are not customizable.
You can synchronize quick effects with other Razer Chroma-enabled devices using the Chroma Sync button [Chroma Sync].
Studio Effects
The Studio Effects option allows you to choose a Chroma Effect. Create your own Chroma Effect by pressing the Chroma Studio button [Chroma Studio].
Profiles Tab
The Profiles tab is for managing profiles and linking them to games and applications.
Devices Subtab
View which Razer device is using a specific profile.
You can import profiles from your computer or the cloud, or create new profiles. Profiles can be set to automatically activate when an application is run using the Linked Games option.
Linked Games Subtab
Add games, view peripherals linked to games, or search for added games. Games can be sorted alphabetically, by last played, or most played.
To link games to devices, select a game and then choose the device and profile to launch automatically during gameplay.
Settings Window
The Settings window, accessible via the [settings-gear] button on Razer Synapse, allows you to configure startup behavior, display language, view master guides, or perform factory resets.
- General tab: Change display language, start-up behavior, and theme. Sync profiles to the cloud or view master guides.
- Reset tab: Perform a factory reset on a Razer device or reset Synapse tutorials. [i] Resetting a device erases all profiles and on-board memory.
- About tab: View software information, copyright statement, terms of use, check for updates, or access Razer's social communities.
8. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines
- To achieve maximum safety, follow these guidelines.
- If the device is not operating properly, unplug it and contact Razer support at support.razer.com.
- Do not take apart the device, as this will void your warranty. Do not operate under abnormal current loads.
- Keep the device away from liquid, humidity, or moisture. Operate within the temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). If the temperature exceeds this range, unplug or switch off the device to stabilize.
Comfort
Long periods of repetitive motion, improper positioning, and poor habits can lead to physical discomfort and injury. Follow these guidelines for optimum comfort:
- Position your keyboard and monitor directly in front of you, with your mouse next to it. Place elbows next to your side, not too far away, and keep the keyboard within easy reach.
- Adjust your chair and table height so the keyboard and mouse are at or below elbow height.
- Keep feet well supported, posture straight, and shoulders relaxed.
- While typing, relax your wrist and keep it straight. Avoid bending, extending, or twisting hands for long periods during repetitive tasks.
- Do not rest wrists on hard surfaces for long periods.
- Use the provided wrist rest to support your wrist while using the keyboard.
- Customize keys to suit your work style to minimize repetitive or awkward motions.
- Do not sit in the same position all day. Get up, step away, and do exercises to stretch arms, shoulders, neck, and legs.
If you experience physical discomfort (pain, numbness, tingling) in your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, or back, consult a qualified medical doctor immediately.
Maintenance and Use
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro requires minimum maintenance. Once a month, unplug the device and gently clean each component using a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or harsh cleaning agents.
