Assembly
Assembly Tools
The following tools are required for assembly:
- Allen wrench (5 mm)
- Wrench (13 mm)
Hardware Identification Chart
This chart helps identify fasteners by diameter and length. Place washers or bolt/screw ends on circles to check diameter. Use the scale to check length. Length is measured from below the head for most bolts/screws, or from the top of the head for flat head types.
Visual representation of screw/bolt sizes (3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" inches) and a millimeter scale (0-150 mm) for length measurement.
Note: After unpacking, check that all parts are complete and faultless. Ensure you have the required tools.
Assembly Steps
STEP 1: Place the main frame assembly on the floor. Align the key rib in the stabilizer cap (5) with the slot in the rear support (4). Press the stabilizer cap (5) onto the rear support (4). Turn the frame to the upright position and ensure the stabilizer pad (6) is secured to the stabilizer cap (5).
Diagram shows placing the main frame, aligning stabilizer cap (5) with rear support (4), and securing it.
STEP 2: Insert the bracket on the front stabilizer (28) into the front support (26). Attach the meter post (31) to the front support (28). Secure these parts together using button-head bolts M8x1.25x15 mm (51) and washers M8 (59). Do not tighten all six bolts until they are all attached.
Note: Be careful not to damage the extension wire (39) when assembling the meter post (32).
STEP 3: Connect the extension wire (39) to the sensor wire (40).
Diagram shows connecting wire (39) to sensor wire (40) near the meter post.
STEP 4: Insert the pedal shaft (32) through the holes on the meter post (31). Place a pedal spacer (33) and a pedal (34) onto each end of the pedal shaft (32), sliding them towards the meter post. Secure the pedals (34) with button-head bolts M8x1.25x15 mm (51) and large washers M8 (36) at both ends. Tighten these bolts simultaneously using two Allen wrenches.
STEP 5: Remove the locking knobs (13) from the pivot connector (10).
Diagram shows removing locking knobs (13) from the pivot connector (10).
STEP 6: Unfold the handlebars (17, 18) and extension arms (14). Attach the extension arms (14) to the pivot connector (10) using locking knobs (13).
Diagram shows unfolding handlebars and extension arms, then attaching arms with locking knobs.
STEP 7: Install one AA battery into the meter (37). Connect the extension wire (39) to the meter (37). Attach the meter (37) to the plate on the meter post (31) using round-head screws M5x0.8x12 mm (49).
Diagram shows installing the meter (37) onto the meter post (31) using screws.
STEP 8: Slide the seat assembly (42, 43) onto the center beam (1). Attach the seat stoppers (3) to the back end of the center beam (1) using button-head bolts M8x1.25x25 mm (53). Verify that the seat stoppers (3) at the front end are already assembled.
Diagram shows attaching seat stoppers (3) to the center beam (1) with bolts.
STEP 9: Press the center beam cap (2) into the back end of the center beam (1).
Diagram shows pressing the center beam cap (2) into place.
Operational Instructions
Using the Fitness Meter
- POWER ON: The meter starts after seat movement or pressing the button.
- POWER OFF: The meter automatically shuts down after four minutes of inactivity.
- MODE: Press to cycle through display functions: SCAN, TIME, TOTAL COUNT, COUNT, CALORIES. Press and hold for two seconds to reset all functions except TOTAL COUNT.
Functions:
- SCAN: Automatically cycles through TIME, TOTAL COUNT, COUNT, and CALORIES every 6 seconds.
- TIME: Displays elapsed time from 00:01 to 99:59 (minutes: seconds).
- TOTAL COUNT: Displays the total accumulated number of rows (0-9999). Saved when the meter is turned off.
- COUNT: Displays the number of rows (0-9999) for the current session.
- CALORIES: Displays burned calories (0-9999 Kcal). This is an estimate for the average user and should be used for comparison between workouts.
Note: TOTAL COUNT resets after removing the batteries.
A diagram shows the fitness meter with a display screen and a single 'MODE' button.
How to Install and Replace Batteries
- Open the battery cover at the back of the meter.
- The meter uses one AA battery, which is included. Refer to the illustration for correct installation.
Note: Use the same battery type. Do not mix alkaline and other types. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Dispose of used batteries environmentally friendly and according to local laws.
Diagram shows the battery compartment with two AA batteries being inserted.
Load Adjustment
The shock resistance can be adjusted using the knob at the top of the shock. Settings range from 1 (lowest resistance) to 12 (highest resistance).
WARNING: The shock can become HOT after a few minutes of use.
Diagram shows the shock absorber with an arrow pointing to the "Adjustment Knob".
Pedal Strap Adjustment
To change the pedal strap (35) position to the upper slot in the pedal (34): Thread the strap (35) through the opening from the bottom of the pedal (34), then through the steel ring. Slide the ring down against the pedal. Thread the strap (35) through the opening on the other side from the top. Fold the end of the strap (35) up and attach it with the hook-and-loop fastener to adjust length.
Diagram illustrates the process of threading the pedal strap (35) through the pedal (34) and securing it with a hook-and-loop fastener.
Maintenance, Storage, and Folding
Maintenance
- Regularly check for damaged or worn parts to maintain the machine's safety and integrity. Pay extra attention to key components.
- Pull on the handlebars (17, 18) to verify the shock (22) provides tension.
- Clean the roller tracks in the central beam (1) with an absorbent cloth.
- Ensure all nuts and bolts are present and properly tightened. Replace missing or tighten loose fasteners.
- Basic maintenance is the user's responsibility.
- Worn or damaged components must be replaced immediately. Do not use the machine until repaired.
- Use only original components for repair or replacement.
- Keep the machine clean by wiping it down after each use.
Storage
- Store the rowing machine in a dry and clean place.
- Move the machine by lifting the rear and front stabilizers. Do not use the seat to move it, as it can slide and pinch fingers.
- To protect the electronics, remove batteries before storing the machine for longer than one year.
Folding the Rowing Machine
Follow these steps for easy storage:
- A: Slide the seat (42) to the front end of the center beam (1). Remove the locking knobs (13) from the pivot connector (10).
- B: Swing the left and right handlebars (17, 18) backward. Fold the extension arms (14) forward.
- C: Lock the handlebars in the folded position by screwing the locking knobs (13) onto the pivot connector (10). The machine can now be stored.
- D: The folded machine can be stood upright.
Note: Keep fingers clear of pinch points when folding and unfolding the machine.
Illustrations A, B, C, and D show the sequence of folding the rowing machine: sliding the seat, folding handlebars and arms, locking, and standing the unit.
Warm-up and Cool-down
Warm-up Phase
Warming up prepares your body for exercise and minimizes injuries. Warm up for two to five minutes before strength training or aerobic exercise. Perform activities that increase your heart rate and warm up working muscles, such as brisk walking or jogging.
Stretching
Stretch your muscles after your warm-up and after your workout. Muscles stretch more easily when warm, reducing injury risk. Stretches should be held for 15-30 seconds.
Note: DO NOT BOUNCE.
Four stretching exercises are illustrated:
- Lower body stretch
- Bend torso pulls
- Floor Stretch
- Bent over leg stretch
Cool-down Phase
Cooling down helps return your body to its normal state. Proper cool-down gradually lowers your heart rate and body temperature.
