Charging
Power On/Off
Press the On/Off button on the handle to turn the vacuum on or off.
Mode Selection
Use the mode selection trigger to toggle between ECO, DETECT, and BOOST modes.
Battery Charging
Charging the Battery in the Handheld Vacuum: Connect the charger to an electrical outlet, then insert the charger plug into the port located below the handle on the handheld vacuum.
Diagram Description: Visual indicators for battery charge status: a fully illuminated battery icon for 'Full Charge', a half-illuminated icon for 'Half Charge', a partially illuminated icon for 'Low Charge', and an empty icon for 'No Charge'.
Notes:
- An extra battery and charger may be purchased from sharkclean.com.
- The unit comes with a partial charge. For maximum runtime, charge fully before first use (approximately 6 hours). Leaving the unit plugged in will not damage battery life.
Modes Explained
- ECO MODE: Maximizes runtime.
- DETECT MODE: Senses your environment to optimize your cleaning experience. Detect technology is activated automatically when the unit is in use.
- Dirt Detect: Identifies dirtier, high-traffic areas and automatically boosts suction power.
- Floor Detect™: The brushroll responds to surface changes and automatically adjusts to optimize your clean.
- Light Detect™: Senses low-light situations and automatically illuminates dark areas to help you spot debris.
Diagram Description: A visual representation of Detect Mode's functionality. It shows different floor conditions (Clean Floor, Medium Dirt, Heavy Dirt) corresponding to suction levels (Low Suction, Medium Suction, High Suction). It also highlights "Edge Detect" functionality, which dynamically detects edges and corners. A note indicates that the Hand Vacuum UI and Nozzle Lights are synchronized.
BOOST MODE: Maximizes suction.
Multiflex® and Storage
Multiflex®
If your vacuum model includes the MultiFLEX wand, you can adjust its angle to clean under furniture and in other hard-to-reach areas. Press the latch on the back of the wand to adjust the angle. To return to the original angle, straighten the wand until it clicks securely into place.
Flex Storage
Press the MultiFLEX latch on the back of the wand and fold the vacuum down into its storage position. Please ensure the vacuum dust cup is empty before storing.
Emptying the Dust Cup
To empty the dust cup, hold the handheld vacuum at a 45-degree angle over the trash. Press the latch on the front of the hand vac; the dust cup will drop open, releasing dust and debris. To close, push the dust cup back into place.
Diagram Description: Illustration depicting the process of emptying the dust cup, showing the dust cup opening to release debris.
Important: Filter Cleaning
Follow these steps to clean the HEPA filter:
- To access the HEPA filter, press the dust cup empty button to release the dust cup.
- Grip the filter by the tab and slide it out of the hand vac.
- After the filter has been rinsed and air-dried completely (up to 48 hours), slide it back into the hand vacuum.
Notes:
- Rinse the HEPA filter at least once a month to maintain suction power. More frequent cleaning may be necessary with heavy use.
- To clean the filter, rinse it with water only and allow it to air-dry completely for up to 48 hours before reinstalling. Tap off loose dirt between washes when needed.
- IMPORTANT: DO NOT use soap when cleaning the filters. Use water only.
- The vacuum will not have suction if the post-motor filter is not installed. Ensure that all filters are installed before using.
