Getting Started
For Apple devices, download the IKEA Home smart app from the App Store. For Android devices, download it from Google Play Store.
Note: If you have a TRÅDFRI gateway, please use the IKEA Home smart 1 app.
Getting started with DIRIGERA hub: Download the IKEA Home smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the dimmer/power switch to your IKEA Home smart system.
Remote Control Functions
- Turn On/Dim Up: Short press the button to turn on. Press and hold the button to dim up.
- Turn Off/Dim Down: Short press the button to turn off. Press and hold the button to dim down.
- Change White Spectrum or Colors: Use the < > buttons.
- Pairing: Add IKEA Smart Lighting products to your system. See instructions below.
Adding Devices to Your Remote Control
When the remote control is sold with a light source (in the same package), they are already paired. If purchased separately, you must manually pair it to your light source.
To add light sources, repeat the following steps:
- Ensure your light source is installed and the main power switch is turned on.
- Hold the remote control close to the light source you want to add (no more than 5 cm away).
- Press and hold the pairing button ? for at least 10 seconds. A red light will shine steadily on the remote control. Your light source will begin to dim and flash once to indicate successful pairing.
Up to 10 light sources can be paired with one remote control. Pair them one at a time. If light sources are close together, disconnect power to already paired ones.
Factory Reset Your Devices
- For light sources: Toggle the main switch 6 times.
- For remote control: Press the pairing button 4 times within 5 seconds.
Synchronizing
If your light source becomes unsynchronized, a long press on the left (<) or right (>) buttons will return the light source to its default setting (2700K).
Changing the Battery
The remote control batteries last approximately 2 years with regular use. When it's time to replace them, a red LED indicator will flash when any button is pressed. Open the battery lid and replace the batteries with two new AAA/HR03 batteries.
Caution!
Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.
Important!
- The remote control is for indoor use only and can be used in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
- Do not leave the remote control in direct sunlight or near any heat source, as it may overheat.
- The range between the remote control and the receiver is measured in open air. Different building materials and unit placement can affect wireless connectivity range.
Care Instructions
To clean the remote control, wipe with a soft cloth moistened with a little mild detergent. Use another soft, dry cloth to wipe dry. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents as they can damage the product.
Recommended Battery Types
2 x IKEA LADDA 900 (AAA/HR03, 1.2V, 900mAh, Ni-MH) (Not included). Do not mix batteries of different capacities, types, or date stamps.
