The following is intended to provide integrators and installers with general guidelines for painting ArenaMatch and AMU loudspeakers. Review Warnings/Cautions before painting.
Warnings/Cautions
- Proper paint application is the responsibility of the integrator or installer. Application technique is as important as paint selection and preparation.
- It is the responsibility of the integrator or installer to ensure no degradation to the grille attachment occurs as a result of painting.

EN 54-24 Applications

Painting the Enclosure
ArenaMatch and AMU loudspeakers are made of exterior-grade plywood with a two-part polyurea coating. Use paint appropriate for these materials.
Remove the grille and mask all connectors, labels, threaded inserts, and acoustic components before painting the loudspeaker enclosure.
Clean the unmasked painting area with a cloth lightly dampened with water. Do not use chemicals or abrasives to clean the enclosure. Paint the enclosure using a spray, brush, or roller.
Painting the Grille
ArenaMatch and AMU loudspeaker grilles are made of perforated stainless steel with an acoustic foam and stainless-steel mesh backing, and a powder-coat finish. Use paint appropriate for these materials.
Remove the grille and clean it with a cloth lightly dampened with water. Do not use chemicals or abrasives to clean the grille.
Only paint the front-facing surface of the grille. Do not paint the acoustic foam or the steel mesh backing. Use a paint roller to apply a thin coat of paint to the grille. Take care to prevent the paint from clogging the backing.
