Before Installation
Ensure the surface where the LED strip will be mounted is clean and dry. This will allow the 3M adhesive tape to achieve maximum adhesion.
Installation
The LED strip can be cut to desired lengths at the marked 10 cm intervals. Note that cutting may affect the product's IP rating. Carefully peel back approximately 5 mm of the protective plastic casing from the end of the strip to expose the connector points. For connection, ensure the metal contacts on the extension cable align correctly with the strip's connector points. It is crucial to match the polarity markers (+/-) and color channel indicators (R, G, B) on both the strip and the cable before making the connection. Secure the connection by pressing the clamp mechanism firmly.
A diagram illustrates the connection process: a power adapter connects to a controller box, which in turn connects to the LED strip via extension cables. The controller box has input terminals labeled "+DC12V", "R", "G", and "B", corresponding to the LED strip's power and color channels.
After confirming all connections are correct and aligned, remove the backing from the 3M adhesive tape and carefully affix the LED strip to the prepared surface. Connect the extension cables, the RGB control box, and the power adapter to a power source. For the remote control to function, the small IR diode, located on a separate cable extending from the control box, must be unobstructed and visible.
Operation
To power the LED strip, connect the power adapter to a wall socket. Use the [On] button (1) on the remote control to turn the strip on and the [Off] button (2) to turn it off.
Adjusting Brightness
The brightness level can be adjusted using the [Increase brightness] (4) or [Decrease brightness] (3) buttons. Please note that when a specific light scene (such as Flash, Fade, or Strobe) is active, direct brightness control might be limited. To adjust the brightness for these scenes, first select a static color, adjust its brightness, and then re-select the desired light scene. The adjusted brightness will then apply to the scene.
Selecting Colors
The LED strip is capable of displaying 16 different colors. You can switch between these colors by pressing the [Colour buttons] (5) and [Colour hue buttons] (6) on the remote control.
Light Scenes
The remote control offers several pre-programmed light effects:
- [Flash] (7): The strip rapidly jumps between all available colors.
- [Strobe] (8): The strip flashes on and off with a white light.
- [Fade] (9): The strip smoothly transitions through all colors.
- [Smooth] (10): The strip smoothly transitions between red, green, and blue colors.
Battery Replacement
The battery tray (11) is located at the bottom of the remote control. To replace the battery, locate the release lock on the side of the tray, press it, and slide the tray out. Ensure the new battery is inserted with the positive (+) terminal facing upwards.
Safety Information
- This product is intended for household use only.
- The LED strip is suitable for outdoor use, but the power adapter must be kept indoors.
- Always use the power adapter supplied with the product.
- Never connect power to the LED strip while it is still in its packaging or wound onto a reel.
- Do not cover the LED strip or install it in a recessed area, as this can cause overheating.
- Do not attempt to open or disassemble the LED strip, as this will compromise its IP rating.
- The individual LED diodes cannot be replaced.
- When replacing batteries, use only batteries of the same type. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local environmental regulations.
