Tipping Restraint Hardware
The Tipping Restraint Hardware Kit (I) is provided to secure the bookcase to the wall. Follow the instructions to attach the metal bracket to the bookcase and the wall using the provided screws and cable. This is crucial for safety, especially in households with children or in earthquake-prone areas. The bookcase is designed to support 30 lbs per shelf.
Diagram shows how to attach the anti-tip hardware. It includes a metal bracket, steel cable, connector, wall anchors, short screw, and long screw. The bookcase is shown with 'No Load' on top and '30 lbs' on each of the four shelves. The text 'Attention: According to American laws, the furniture height above 30" should add anti-fall hardware equipment. If anti-fall device is necessary, please follow the steps below (PS: When the wall is brick wall, electrical drill would be needed). Follow the instructions below to fasten your unit to the wall. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.'
