To be eligible for theft or loss coverage, the 'Find My' feature must be enabled on your device at the time of loss or theft and remain enabled throughout the claims process. This functionality is crucial for ensuring your device can be located and secured.
The coverage includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage from handling, hardware repair, battery replacement if capacity falls below 80%, and 24/7 priority access to Apple Support. Additionally, it provides up to two claims for theft or loss every 12 months, subject to specific deductibles and terms.
Service fees and deductibles vary by device. For example, accidental damage service fees for Apple Watch (excluding Ultra and Hermès) are $69, with a theft or loss deductible of $119. For iPad and iPhone models, specific fees and deductibles are detailed in the plan documents.
The plan costs are structured on a monthly, annual, or 24-month fixed term basis, with different pricing available through the Apple Education Store and Apple Small Business Store. You can cancel your AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage at any time and receive a prorated refund.
To file a claim for damage, loss, or theft, you can start online at support.apple.com or call 800-APL-CARE. Claims must be filed within 60 days of the incident. For approved theft or loss claims, Apple will provide a replacement product that is new or comprised of new and/or previously used genuine Apple parts.
