The Aldes ISONE® 2.1 fire damper is designed for use in tertiary buildings (ERP, IGH) to restore the fire resistance rating of partitions traversed by ventilation ducts. It offers ease of selection with a single model for various partitions and fire ratings.

Product Description

This fire damper is equipped with a default thermal release fusible link at 70°C. It can be controlled by an electromagnetic coil (24/48VDC normally open, 24VCC or 48VCC normally closed) and features a 24-48 VCC/VDC reset motor. It provides fire resistance up to 120 minutes on standard partitions.

Available Sizes

• ISONE® 2.1 Rectangular PM: Dimensions (LxH) range from 200x100 mm to 800x600 mm.
• ISONE® 2.1 Rectangular GM: Dimensions (LxH) range from L≥800, H≥600, up to 1500x500 mm or 1000x1000 mm.

Installation

Installation is designed to be flexible:

• Can be installed without sealing on lightweight partitions, even with a post-mounted frame.
• Recessed mounting is possible on concrete walls/slabs, cellular concrete, plasterboard walls, and plasterboard type A (1h) and type F (2h) partitions.
• Remote mounting is supported using the PROMAT / GEOSTAF system with the EASYNSTAL kit.
• Installation tabs facilitate positioning on lightweight partitions.
• The Easynstall kit simplifies installation in lightweight type A partitions (60 minutes).
• An adaptation piece is available for connecting to oblong ducts.
• Extended reservation dimensions are available as per EXAP EN 15882-2:2015, rules X.45 and X.46.
• Installation must adhere to fire classification reports.

Installation Clearances

Diagrams illustrate required opening sizes and minimum clearances for installation:

• Concrete Wall/Slab: Requires openings of X+80 x Y+80 mm or X+145 x Y+145 mm, with minimum clearances.
• Plasterboard Partitions (120 min): Requires openings of X+70 x Y+70 mm.
• Lightweight Partitions (120 min): Requires openings of X+70 x Y+70 mm.
• Lightweight Partitions (60 min with Kit Easynstall): Requires openings of X+70 x Y+70 mm and minimum clearances of ≥98 mm.

Principle of Operation

The ISONE® 2.1 fire damper operates as follows:

• 1: Installation Tab: Used for securing the damper within the partition.
• 2: Fire Plate: A component related to fire containment.
• 3: ISONE® 2.1 PM Mechanism: The core operating and reset mechanism.
• 4: Blade: The damper blade, available in 25mm thickness (PM model) or 50mm thickness (GM model), which closes to prevent fire spread.
• 5: 30mm Connection Flange: For connecting ventilation ducts.
