Know Your Air Purifier

Features

The air purifier features an Air Output Vent at the top, an Air Quality Indicator Ring around the control panel, a Control Panel for operation, an Air Input Grill at the base, and an AC Plug for power.

Components

Internal components include the Air Quality Sensor Door, Fan Housing, the main True HEPA Filter, a removable Pre-Filter, and the Air Intake Grill.

Operating Instructions

Set Up Directions

  1. Place your air purifier on the floor, ensuring the air intake grill is not covered.
  2. Plug in the air purifier and press the Power Button once. The unit will start immediately on the AUTO setting.
  3. The air quality indicator ring will illuminate and detect air quality, showing blue for great, pink for average, and red for poor.
  4. Select optimal settings by referring to the Operating Instructions (pages 9-10).
  5. Enjoy your air purifier.

Controls and Settings

1. Power Button: Press once to turn on the air purifier to the AUTO setting.

2. Fan Speed Button: Change fan speed to AUTO, Low, Medium, or High. AUTO mode adjusts speed based on air quality indicator.

3. Timer Button: Set purification duration for 2, 4, or 8 hours.

4. Ionizer Switch: Turn on the optional Ionizer to help trap airborne particles.

5. Filter Replacement Indicator: Illuminates when the True HEPA filter needs replacement. Reset by holding Power and Timer buttons for 2 seconds after replacement.

6. Night Mode: Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to dim indicator lights. Press and hold again to exit.

Cleaning Instructions

Care & Maintenance

General Maintenance

  1. Ensure the air purifier is off and unplugged.
  2. Wipe the unit with a soft, lightly dampened cloth.
  3. Dust the air output vent and air intake grill with a soft brush and wipe the interior with a dry, soft cloth.
  4. Refer to Pre-Filter Maintenance for pre-filter cleaning.
  5. Replace the True HEPA filter when the Filter Replacement Indicator turns on. Do not wash the True HEPA filter.

Pre-Filter Maintenance

  1. Ensure the air purifier is off and unplugged.
  2. Follow the first 2 steps of FILTER REPLACEMENT (page 13).
  3. Vacuum the pre-filter or machine wash in cool water and dry on a gentle cycle.
  4. Ensure the pre-filter is dry and reattach it to the True HEPA filter, following the last 2 steps of FILTER REPLACEMENT (page 14).

Air Quality Sensor Maintenance

  1. Open the air quality sensor door behind the fan housing.
  2. Gently wipe the sensor with a dry cotton swab or soft cloth.
  3. Close the door to prevent moisture from reaching the sensor.

Filter Replacement

True HEPA Filter Replacement

The True HEPA filter should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on air quality and usage.

  1. Rotate the fan housing counter-clockwise and lift it from the air intake grill.
  2. Remove the filter from the air intake grill. Remove the pre-filter from the True HEPA filter.
  3. Dispose of the used True HEPA filter and install a new one. Reattach the pre-filter to the new True HEPA filter and place it back into the air intake grill.
  4. Place the fan housing back onto the air intake grill, rotating clockwise until it locks. Reset the Filter Replacement Indicator by pressing and holding the Power and Timer buttons for 2 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) mean?
A: CADR is a measure of the volume of air processed by the purifier. Higher CADR means a more powerful purifier.
Q: What does a pre-filter do?
A: It extends the life of the True HEPA filter by initially filtering out larger particles like mold and pollen.
Q: What does an Ionizer do?
A: Ionizers electrically charge air molecules, helping the purifier trap airborne particles more efficiently.
Q: Will my settings be saved if I turn off my air purifier?
A: Yes, if kept plugged in, settings are saved. If unplugged, it defaults to AUTO upon restart.

Safety / Cautions

Ensure all air openings are not restricted or covered. Do not place anything on top of the unit.

Never drop or insert objects into openings.

Do not place near heat sources. Locate on an inside wall near an electrical outlet.

Do not operate if the power cord is damaged or if the unit has been dropped or malfunctions. Return to an authorized service facility.

Do not attempt to repair or adjust electrical or mechanical functions; this voids the warranty. Servicing should be done by qualified personnel only.

Plug directly into a 120V AC outlet to avoid fire or shock.

Never place the cord under rugs or near heat registers to avoid fire hazard.

Supervise children when they are in a room with the air purifier.

Use only for intended household use. Other uses may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

Do not use outdoors.

Unplug when not in use by pulling the plug, not the cord.

Requires maintenance for efficient operation. Refer to cleaning and maintenance procedures.

Never clean while plugged in. Do not wash under running water.

Do not plug in with wet hands to avoid electric shock.

Troubleshooting

2 Year Limited Warranty

This NOMA product carries a 2-year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. Noma Canada will replace defective parts free of charge within the warranty period upon return with proof of purchase. Not guaranteed against misuse or abuse.
