Safety Instructions
Before each use, always check the appliance, plug, and power cord for good condition. Use the appliance only under normal operating conditions as defined in this manual. For models VU/VF66XX and VU/VF69XX, ensure the air-inlet grids are fitted and the closure system is in the closed position. Never allow water to enter the appliance. Do not use the appliance without the grids. Avoid touching the appliance with wet hands. Never insert objects into the appliance, such as needles. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not insert their fingers through the safety grids. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards. Always unplug the appliance before any maintenance operations. For maintenance and adjustment operations, refer to the user guide supplied with the manual.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been given instructions on safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
The remote control uses one 3V button cell battery (CR2025). Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity as shown in the battery compartment. Battery terminals must not be short-circuited. Keep away from fire.
IMPORTANT: It is advised to switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use. When storing the appliance for a longer period, remove the batteries from the remote control. Put the device in standby mode and unplug it from the mains before replacing the battery. Follow the battery manufacturer's instructions when installing new batteries.
Recommendations
The electrical installation of the room, the installation of the appliance, and its use must comply with the standards in force in your country. Do not use the appliance near flammable objects or products. Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm between the appliance and any other object (walls, curtains, aerosols, etc.). Do not pull the power cord or the appliance, even when unplugging it from the wall socket. This appliance is designed for domestic household use only. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for professional use, inappropriate use, or failure to comply with instructions, which will void the guarantee. Always unroll the power cord completely before use. Do not use the appliance in a dusty room or a location with a risk of fire. Do not use the appliance in a humid environment. The warranty will be invalidated if damage occurs due to incorrect use.
First Use
Before first use, ensure that the voltage, frequency, and power of your appliance are suitable for your electrical supply. Your appliance can function using an unearthed plug; it is a Class II appliance (double electrical insulation). Before switching on your appliance, ensure that it is completely assembled, placed on a stable, horizontal surface, and positioned according to the instructions in this manual. Do not attempt to force oscillation manually.
Remote Control Power Supply
The remote control uses one 3V button cell battery (CR2025), which is included. Insert batteries into the compartment, observing the polarity indications shown in the compartment.
In Case of Problems
Never disassemble the appliance yourself. A poorly repaired appliance may be dangerous for the user. Do not use the appliance and contact an Approved Service Centre if your appliance has been dropped, if the appliance or its power cord is damaged, or if the appliance no longer functions properly. Protecting the Environment
Your appliance contains valuable materials that can be recovered or recycled. Hand it in at a local civic waste collection point or an authorized service centre for processing. For batteries: help protect the environment by not disposing of used batteries. Instead, bring them to special battery collection points. Do not dispose of them with household waste.
