Important Safety Instructions

Please read this manual carefully before using this player and keep it for later reference.

The CD Player

  1. If the player fails to work, please contact customer support at support@klimtechnologies.com.
  2. Do not use or store the device in moist environments. Keep away from liquids, steam, etc.
  3. Do not place any liquid or objects other than CDs into the player.
  4. Do not expose the device to sunlight for long periods or keep it near heaters. It is not intended for high-temperature environments.
  5. Maintenance should only be performed by professionals with extensive electronic knowledge and experience.
  6. Do not scratch or hit the player with sharp objects.
  7. Avoid looking directly into the LED lens, as it may cause permanent eye damage.
  8. Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult.

Battery Safety

Do not disassemble or charge with non-compliant power adapters to avoid permanent damage. Handle the built-in high-capacity polymer lithium battery carefully:

  1. Do not remove the battery pack.
  2. Do not drop or expose the device to physical impact.
  3. Do not short circuit or pierce the battery.
  4. Do not place the player under ambient temperatures above 131°F (55°C).
  5. Do not put the battery in fire.
  6. If the battery is damaged, contact customer support or a professional for replacement.

Hearing Safety Warnings

Adjust the volume to an appropriate level. High volume can damage hearing permanently. Increase volume slowly until a comfortable, clear sound is heard.

Listening for extended periods, even at moderate volume, can cause hearing damage. Use the device in moderation and allow for adequate rest for your ears.

Getting Started

First Use: Inserting and Removing Discs

Press the [OPEN] button to open the lid. Before first use, remove the protective cardboard to reveal the lens. Insert your index finger into the center hole of the disc and grip the edge with your thumb. Keep the labeled side facing up when inserting the disc. Press gently to lock it in place. Close the lid completely; otherwise, the player will not read the disc. To remove a disc, gently pull it upwards from the side.

Note: The player is only compatible with CD, CDR, MP3, and HDCD formats.

Using a TF Card

Insert a TF card into the slot. Press and hold the [MODE] button to enter TF card playback mode. The TF card slot supports cards up to 64GB.

Using Earphones

Only earphones with a 3.5 mm jack are compatible. Use the included KLIM Fusion or similar high-fidelity headphones for the best sound quality. You can connect two sets of headphones simultaneously.

How to Turn On the Player

Slide the power switch to the ON position. The player enters standby mode after 60 seconds if the last track is played or no disc is present. Press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to restart.

How to Turn Off the Player

There are two ways to turn off the player:

  1. Slide the power switch to OFF for extended periods.
  2. Press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button twice in succession to enter standby mode. The player consumes some power in standby.

IMPORTANT: While in standby mode, press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to reactivate the player.

In FM mode, a long press of the ⏹️ button turns the player off. Press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to turn it back on.

Charging the Player

This product comes with a charging cable. Use any charger supporting USB 2.0 protocol or a standard USB charger. The low battery symbol ? flashes when the battery is low. Charging time is approximately 4 hours (varies by power output). The LED indicator is red while charging and turns green when fully charged. The screen displays a charging battery icon and a full battery icon when complete.

Playback Options

How to Connect Bluetooth Devices

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth headphone/speaker and ensure Bluetooth is active.
  2. Turn on the player and press the ⊚ button to select Bluetooth mode. Press the ⊚ button to activate it.
  3. Select "BT Search" using the ◀️ / ▶️ buttons, then press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to search for available Bluetooth devices.
  4. Press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to select your device.
  5. After successful pairing, press the ⊚ button to return to the playback interface.

Bluetooth turns off automatically when entering FM mode.

Saving Track Presets

  1. Press ⏹️ to stop playback.
  2. Press the [PROG] button to enter programming mode.
  3. Use the ◀️ / ▶️ buttons to select a track, then press [PROG] to save it.
  4. Repeat step 3 for up to 32 tracks.
  5. While in programming mode, press ▶️ / ⏸️ to start playback of your selection.

To exit programming mode, press the ⏹️ button.

Presets are not stored in memory and must be reprogrammed after exiting programming mode.

Playing Folder Tracks (DIR)

Press [DIR] to choose different folders on the CD. In TF card mode, press and hold [DIR] to preview folders. Use ◀️ / ▶️ to switch folders. Press to confirm the folder, select the track, and press ▶️ / ⏸️ to play. Long press ⏹️ to return to the main interface.

Playback Speed Adjustment

Long press [FM] to reduce playback speed (-7). Long press [DIR] to increase playback speed (+7). Normal playback speed is 0.

Playback Mode

Press and hold [MODE] for 2 seconds to switch between CD and TF card modes. Press [MODE] to change playback mode: 1 (repeat track), A (repeat album), RND (shuffle), INT (intro preview), NOR (normal). In TF card mode, F (repeat folder) is also available.

Recording Function (to TF)

Press and hold the record button to start recording. Press and hold again to stop. A "No device" message appears if no TF card is inserted.

Digital Equalization

Press the [EQ] button to change equalization. There are 7 presets: NOR, BBS, POP, ROC, JAZZ, CLAS, COV.

FM Features

FM Transmitter

Wirelessly connect the device to your car's audio system via the car radio. In CD or TF card mode, press [PROG] once to display "FM OFF". Press [PROG] again to cycle through frequencies: 79.3 MHz / 88.5 MHz / 93.6 MHz / 101.9 MHz / 107.1 MHz / FM OFF. Select a frequency and tune your car radio to it to play music from your Discover. This mode automatically disables Bluetooth.

FM Radio

  1. Connect headphones to the AUX 2 port ?; they act as an antenna to improve signal reception. A detachable 3.5mm antenna can also be connected (not included).
  2. Press the [FM] button to enter Radio mode.
  3. Press the ? button; the player will automatically search and store stations. It plays the first detected station upon completion.
  4. Use the ◀️ / ▶️ buttons to change stations.
  5. Press the ? button on a specific station to store it. A number will blink on the screen. Press the ? button again to confirm. Up to 40 stations can be stored.

In FM mode, a long press of the ⏹️ button turns the player off. Press the ▶️ / ⏸️ button to turn it back on.

Press [MODE] to manually increase radio frequency.

Press [PROG] to manually decrease radio frequency.

Press [FM] to exit FM radio mode.

Other Features

Key Lock

After selecting playback mode and sound settings, move the [HOLD] switch to ON to lock buttons and prevent accidental changes. This is useful during sports or when storing the player in a bag. The volume control and power switch are not affected by the HOLD function.

Connection to Other Speakers

Use the included 3.5mm male-to-male cable to connect the CD player to other devices like external speakers, amplifiers, or headphones. You can also connect it to your car's audio system via the AUX port.

USB port connection is not supported. Refer to your audio system's manual for instructions.

WARNING: Do not operate the CD player while driving. Keep your attention on the road!

Volume Adjustment

The volume controller is on the side of the player. Slide it left or right to decrease or increase volume. Use an adequate volume level to prevent hearing damage. Listening to loud sounds for extended periods can cause permanent hearing damage.

Troubleshooting

The disc is dirty or damaged.1. Ensure the disc is not heavily scratched or damaged. 2. Wipe the disc gently from the center outwards with a clean, soft cloth. 3. Try another disc.
The lens is dirty.Wipe the lens gently with a cotton swab. NOTE: DO NOT TOUCH THE LENS WITH YOUR HANDS.
The CD player is not charging.There is no current in the outlet.Ensure the power outlet is working.
The charger is damaged.Replace the charger with one matching specifications (DC 5V/1A).
The player is damaged.Contact customer support or a professional for repairs. NOTE: Ensure power source and charging voltage are DC 5V/1A. Excessive voltage may cause damage.
Tracks skip while playing.The disc is scratched.Use a dry cloth to clean the disc, or try another disc.
The player is subject to vibration or bumps (e.g., in a car).Keep the CD player stable while playing a CD.
The CD player does not connect to my car's Bluetooth system.Bluetooth compatibility with car infotainment systems can vary. Car software updates may cause issues.Contact customer service for assistance.
My car's radio isn't playing the tracks from the CD player/TF card properly.The FM frequencies on your CD player and car radio are not the same.Ensure you select the same FM frequencies on both devices. If the problem persists, try a different FM frequency.
