Wiring Diagram Details
This section details the connections between the CM-DC3 module, the T-harness, and various vehicle points. Specific wire colors and pin assignments are crucial for installation.
Module Connections (M1-M5)
- M1: Connects to vehicle power, ignition, starter, accessory, and programming circuits. Key wires include Orange (Accessory +), Red (Power), Purple (Starter +), Pink (Ignition +), and White (Parking Lights +).
- M2: Provides various outputs such as Lock (-), Unlock (-), Trunk Release (-), Arm (-), Disarm (-), Siren (+), Horn (-), and Parking Lights (-).
- M3: Receives inputs for Brake (+), E-Brake (-), Door (+/-), Tach (-), Hood (-), Trunk (-), and other sensors.
- M4: Handles CAN bus data (CANH 1, CANL 1, CANH 2, CANL 2), Parking Light (MUX) output, and Immobilizer (Data).
- M5: Connects to vehicle side and harness side Ignition (+) and Accessory (+) signals.
Vehicle Harness Connections
- VS1/VS2: Connect to the vehicle's Ignition Harness, Ignition Switch, and Headlight Switch.
- I/P Junction Box (C): Specific wires connect here, including Parking Light (MUX) Blue (Pin 14), CANL 1 (Black) (Pin 5), CANH 1 (White) (Pin 6), CANL 2 (Brown) (Pin 12), CANH 2 (White) (Pin 13), Accessory (+) Orange (Pin 32), and Ignition (+) Pink (Pin 17).
- Driver Kick Panel (D): Connections include Immobilizer (Data) Brown/Orange (Pin 29) and Horn (-) White (Pin 48).
Important Notes:
- CUT LOOP FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ONLY: This modification is required for automatic transmissions.
- HOOD SWITCH: Install the supplied hood switch if the vehicle is not equipped with one.
Module Programming Procedure
- Turn the vehicle key to the ON position.
- Observe LED 1:
- If LED 1 is solid GREEN, proceed to step 4.
- If LED 1 flashes RED three times, proceed to step 3.
- (If immobilizer is not detected or for USDM vehicles without an immobilizer): Press and release the module's programming button. Wait until LED 1 turns solid GREEN, then proceed to step 4. (For CDM and USDM vehicles with an immobilizer): Verify all wire connections and repeat the module programming procedure.
- Turn the vehicle key to the OFF position.
- Start the vehicle and let it run for 15 seconds.
- Press and hold the brake pedal.
- Press and release the module's programming button.
- Release the brake pedal.
- Wait for LED 2 to flash GREEN.
- Module Programming Procedure completed.
Takeover Procedure (STD Key)
Pre-requisite: All vehicle doors must be closed and locked prior to initiating the remote start sequence.
Warning: Failure to follow this procedure will result in vehicle engine shutdown.
- Press the unlock button on the OEM or aftermarket remote.
- Insert the key into the ignition.
- Turn the key to the ON position.
- Press and release the brake pedal.
- Takeover procedure completed.
