Important Safeguards
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances. Read all instructions before use to prevent electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Key safety points include avoiding use on wet surfaces, keeping openings clear, not using damaged parts, and ensuring proper battery handling and charging.
What's Included
Your Eureka NEC 480 series package typically includes the hand vacuum, battery, wall mount, screws and anchors, motorized floor nozzle, crevice tool, 2-in-1 upholstery tool, wand, and charger.
Assembly and Charging
Assembly is straightforward: attach the wand to the hand vacuum and then to the motorized floor nozzle. For the wall mount, select a suitable location near a power outlet, mark and drill holes, insert anchors, and secure the mount with screws. Charge the battery fully before first use; charging typically takes up to six hours.
Using Your Vacuum
Operate the vacuum using the power button. Utilize the suction control and brushroll buttons to optimize cleaning for different surfaces. The motorized floor nozzle allows for easy maneuverability, especially on stairs. Remember to empty the dust cup after each use.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance. Clean the washable dust cup filter monthly and the washable post-motor filter every six months. Check and clean the brushroll as needed, or when the indicator light turns red, to prevent clogs and potential automatic shut-off.
Troubleshooting & Disposal
Refer to the troubleshooting section for common issues like the motor not starting or low suction power. For battery disposal, ensure it is done in an environmentally safe manner, following local regulations. Contact 1-800-822-8837 for disposal location information.
