Razor Electric Scooter Battery Installation Instructions
For E100/E125 (V10+), E150 (V6+), E175 (V18+)
Tools Needed:
- A. Phillips head screw driver
- B. 4mm Allen wrench
- C. 8mm open wrench
Important Safety Information
WARNING
Use of the wrong type of battery or charger could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in serious injury.
Use of Razor components in products other than Razor products could cause overheating, fire or explosion.
The battery must be handled by adults only. The battery is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the battery could result in serious injury.
Examine the battery, charger and their connectors for excessive wear or damage each time you charge the battery. If damage or excessive wear is detected, do not use the charger or the vehicle until you have replaced the worn or damaged part.
Battery posts, terminals and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds. Wash your hands after handling.
CAUTION
To prevent shock, turn power switch OFF and disconnect charger before removing or installing the batteries. Failure to follow these steps in the correct order may cause irreparable damage.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Remove Deck Plate
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 4 screws in the front of the deck. Using a Phillips head screwdriver and an 8mm open wrench, remove the 2 screws and locknuts in the back of the deck. Using a 4mm Allen wrench, remove the 2 Allen bolts. Remove the deck plate.
Note: If you are having difficulty removing the screws, use pliers to twist the screw out from the bottom.

Step 2: Remove Battery Bracket
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws on the battery bracket and remove the bracket.

Step 3: Disconnect Battery Connector
Locate the white connector on the battery and unplug it from the white connector attached to the Control Module by depressing the tab.

Step 4: Detach Wires from Reset Button
Follow the single black and red wires on the battery to the Reset Button and gently detach both wires from the Reset Button.

Step 5: Remove Batteries
Carefully lift the batteries out of the battery tray, one battery at a time. Refer to page 3 for battery care and disposal information.

Step 6: Install New Batteries
Place new batteries in the battery tray in the position shown.

Step 7: Reassemble
Reverse the installation steps:
- Re-connect the battery connector to the connector on the control module.
- Plug the red and black wires on the battery into the Reset Button (in no particular order).
- Re-attach the battery bracket and deck plate.
ATTENTION: Charge unit at least 18 hours before riding.
Battery Use and Care
General Care
Before charging a battery, examine the battery case for cracks and other damage which may cause sulfuric acid (electrolyte) to leak during the charging process. If damage is detected, DO NOT charge the battery or use it in your product. Battery acid is very corrosive and can cause severe damage to surfaces it contacts.
If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and replace the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal.
If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician.
If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately and call a physician. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician.
Charging Instructions
Charge a new battery for at least 18 hours before you use it in your product for the first time. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Overheating or undercharging the battery may shorten battery life and decrease product run time.
After the first charge, recharge the battery for at least 12 hours after each use. Charge the battery after each use, regardless of how long the product was used. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
Do not short circuit the battery's supply terminals.
Do not allow the battery to run down completely before charging.
Charge the battery at least once per month, even if the product has not been used.
Charge the battery before storing the product. Leaving the battery in a discharged condition will ruin it.
Do not store the battery in temperatures above 75°F or below -10°F.
Examine the battery, charger and their connectors for excessive wear or damage each time you charge the battery. If damage or excessive wear is detected, do not use the charger or the vehicle until you have replaced the worn or damaged part.
Disposal Information
CONTAINS SEALED LEAD-ACID BATTERY. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED.
Your Razor product uses sealed lead-acid batteries which must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of a lead-acid battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak. Do not dispose of a lead-acid battery in your regular household trash. The incineration, land filling or mixing of sealed lead acid batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas. Return exhausted batteries to a federal or state approved lead-acid battery recycler or a local seller of automotive batteries. If you live in Florida or Minnesota, it is prohibited by law to throw away lead-acid batteries in the municipal waste stream.
