VIVREAU V3-204 Bottler
Installation Requirements and Specifications
Product Overview
The VIVREAU V3-204 Bottler is a water dispenser designed for commercial and institutional use. This document outlines the necessary installation requirements, electrical specifications, ventilation needs, arrangement guidelines, dimensions, and detailed technical data for the unit.
Image Description: The VIVREAU V3-204 Bottler is depicted as a countertop unit with a sleek design, featuring two dispensing spouts. One spout is indicated with a green light and the other with a blue light, suggesting different water options. The front panel is translucent blue, and the main body appears to be constructed from stainless steel.
I. Installation Requirements
- The dispenser must not be installed near direct or indirect heat sources such as ovens, radiators, heaters, dishwashers, or washing machines. Hoses and cables should also be kept away from heat sources.
- The dispenser must be placed on a level surface capable of supporting its weight and resistant to liquids and heat.
- Avoid locations where the dispenser might be exposed to sprayed water or water jets.
- Do not place objects on top of the water dispenser.
- Ensure the environment is free from explosive, corrosive, or abrasive conditions, and keep the dispenser away from flammable objects.
- The dispenser must not be subjected to agitations or vibrations.
- This unit is not designed for outdoor use.
- Installation locations must provide free access for monitoring by trained personnel.
- The ambient temperature around the dispenser should not exceed 90°F (32°C).
1. Water Connection
Proper water supply is crucial for the operation and hygiene of Vivreau water dispensers. Key points include:
- Water Pressure: The operating range is 30-50 PSI (pounds per square inch). The Vivreau system includes an ASSE 1022 check valve. Any additional backflow devices required by local or state codes must be supplied by the customer.
- Water Flow: A minimum water flow rate of 40-60 gallons per hour is recommended.
- Water Quality: The water supply must be potable, meet local drinking water regulations, and be free from contaminants suitable for human consumption.
- Temperature: The incoming water temperature should be between 60°F (15.5°C) and 70°F (21.1°C) to ensure optimal cooling performance. Higher temperatures can reduce cooling efficiency.
- Water Connections: The dispenser can be connected using:
- A 1/2-inch water line terminated with a 3/8-inch compression NPT Gate Valve or Angle Valve.
- A 1/2-inch water line terminated with a 1/2-inch x 1/2-inch female threaded Ball Valve.
2. Electrical Connection
Power requirements may vary by model, but general guidelines are:
- Voltage: Typically 110-120V standard electrical outlet.
- Amperage: 20amp.
- Frequency: 50/60 Hz.
- Power Consumption: Generally around 100-300 watts.
- A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacle is recommended.
For precise requirements, consult the dispenser's identification label or operating manual. All power supply connections must be located within 2-4 feet (24-48 inches) of the final installation location.
3. Waste Water Connection (Integrated)
The unit features an integrated drip tray that collects dripping water. This tray needs to be emptied when full. No external waste water connection is required.
4. CO2 (Customer Supplied)
A Food Grade CO2 supply is required. If connecting to a bulk or existing CO2 system, a CO2 line terminating with a 1/4" barbed shutoff valve must be available within 40 inches of the installation location, requiring a minimum pressure of 100 psi.
5. Millwork
Diagram Description: Millwork considerations include specific dimensions, with two measurements indicated: 2.75 inches and 1.96 inches. These likely relate to clearances or cut-out specifications for cabinetry.
II. Ventilation Options
To prevent excessive heat build-up, ventilation grills should be cut into the cabinet. Ventilation grills are available as accessories. The following methods utilize natural circulation by placing grills or cut-outs near the base and top of the enclosure. Removing the base or kitchen cabinet back panel is recommended for improved ventilation.
- Front Ventilation: Typical cut-out size must be no less than 12.0 inches wide x 2 inches deep (24 square inches).
- Side Ventilation: Cut ventilation grills into the side of the cabinet. Grilles can be fitted on either side, allowing ventilation into a free and unobstructed area.
- Base Ventilation: Cut ventilation grills into the cabinet's base panel and base plinth. Top ventilation is also required, either in the side panels or via a cut-out in the top of the door.
- Base Cut-Out: Ensure ventilation by removing a narrow section of the floor immediately behind the door and trimming with a roll edging strip. The typical cut-out size must be no less than 12.0 inches wide x 2 inches deep (24 square inches).
III. Arrangement
The typical arrangement involves the following components:
- a. 204 bottler
- b. CO2 tank
- c. CO2 pressure regulator
- d. Vivreau water filter (Cold Water)
Diagram Description: An illustration shows the placement of the bottler (a), CO2 tank (b), pressure regulator (c), and water filter (d). Key dimensions for placement are indicated: a maximum height of 8.07 inches for certain components, a 14-inch distance between elements, and 5-inch side clearances.
IV. Dimensions
Diagram Description: The overall dimensions of the VIVREAU V3-204 Bottler are shown: Height approximately 21 1/4 inches, Width approximately 14 5/8 inches, and Depth approximately 19 3/8 inches.
