Hilti X-EKB Fastening System Installation Guide
Instructions for using the Hilti X-EKB fastening system.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Tool Selection
Select the appropriate Hilti fastening tool. Compatible models include: DX 5 F8, DX 460 F8, DX 351 F8, DX 351-CT, X-PT.
Step 2: Component Attachment
Attach the component to the fastening tool. A red arrow indicates the direction of insertion, and a hand symbol shows the activation point.
Step 3: Fastener Insertion
Insert the fastener into the substrate (e.g., concrete ceiling). A red arrow indicates the insertion action.
Step 4: Verification
Verify the correct fastening. A checkmark (✔️) indicates proper installation. Prohibition signs with +/- indicators suggest incorrect depth or force settings.
Step 5: Second Fastening
Perform a second fastening action, indicated by "2x". Warning symbols (❗) highlight important safety considerations.
Step 6: Final Check and Disposal
The installed component is secured, supporting up to 10kg (22lbs). A disposal bin symbol indicates proper waste management for any used parts.
