Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell Quick Start

Introduction

Hello! You're just a few steps away from getting your doorbell up and running.

This guide provides essential steps for setting up your Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell.

Getting Started

1. Charge the Battery

   Charge the battery to 100%. The battery LED lights red during charging, then turns green when the battery is fully charged.

2. Download the Arlo App

   Download the Arlo app from the App Store or Google Play.

3. Install Your Doorbell

   Follow the step-by-step instructions in the Arlo app to install your doorbell.

What's in the Box

• Doorbell and plate (these parts are attached)
• Angled mounting plate
• Release pin (keep in a safe place)
• Rechargeable battery
• Battery charging cable (works with most power adapters)
• Wall screws and anchors
• Optional wire extensions, wire fasteners, and extra screws

Tools

• A Phillips screwdriver is required to install the doorbell (not provided).
• You might also benefit from having a drill and a level.

Wiring Information

If you choose to wire your doorbell, the voltage must be 8 – 24VAC and a 10VA transformer is required.

If your voltage doesn't meet the power requirements, and you need to install or upgrade a transformer, contact a licensed electrician or visit arlo.com for information about installation services.
