User Manual: Wired/Wireless Ultrasonic Liquid Sensor
Models: Wired Smart TLC 2101 / Wireless Smart TLC 2101WL
1. Overview
Thank you for purchasing the Wired/Wireless Ultrasonic Liquid Sensor with Display. The ultrasonic level sensor measures the level without contact with the liquid. The sensor sends an ultrasonic signal, which is reflected back from the liquid surface. The fill level can thus be determined. The sensor can be used for oil and water tanks.
- Radio ultrasonic sensor for monitoring the filling level of a tank / live transmission
- Can be used for various liquids, since the ultrasonic sensor does not result in direct liquid contact
- Detect Range: 10 cm to 250 cm (can measure high tanks)
- Wireless range: 100m (without obstacles/without interference)
- High and Low liquid alarm function
- Ideal for retrofitting water/oil tanks
- With surface thermometer and room thermometer
2. Mount the Sensor on the Tank
The sensor should be in the middle of the tank and not on a liquid inlet, as this can falsify the measurement result. Please refer to the following pictures for the best installation positions. The hole should be 72 mm.
Correct Installation Positions:
- Sensor in the middle of the tank, away from liquid inlets.
Incorrect Installation Positions:
- Sensor on a liquid inlet.
3. Display Program
The display unit shows the tank level in real-time, temperature, and time. It also features buttons for controlling the settings.
Display Elements:
- Tank Level: Visual representation of the liquid level (100% to 10%).
- Room Temperature: Displays the ambient temperature.
- Tank Temperature: Displays the temperature of the liquid in the tank.
- Time: Displays the current time.
Button Functions:
- Button (1) LIGHT: Display state switching (Always on/display for 10s).
- Button (2) M (Menu/Set): Used to enter programming mode and navigate settings. Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter programming mode. Press to cycle through settings.
- Button (3) Model Switching: Used to switch between different display modes or settings.
- Button (4) Plus (+): Increases values during setting.
- Button (5) Minus (-): Decreases values during setting.
Programming Mode:
- Press and hold button (2) (Menu) for 3 seconds to enter programming mode. The controller automatically exits programming mode after 10 seconds of inactivity.
- Press button (2) (Menu) to access the 3 setting options: 1. Time / 2. Tank / 3. Alarm.
3.1 Set Time:
When the "TIME" letter appears at the bottom of the monitor screen, the device enters the time setting. Press the +/- buttons to adjust the time. Click button (3) to switch between hour and minute settings.
3.2 Adjust Tank Height:
5.1. 1st Value (Low Water Level): When the "TANK" letter appears and the water level icon flashes, the device enters the low water level setting. The display shows the distance from the ultrasonic sensor to the bottom of the water tank (e.g., 2.5m). Use the +/- buttons to set the actual distance. For example, if the tank is 2.5m high, set it to 2.5m.
5.2. 2nd Value (High Water Level): When the "TANK" letter appears and the water level icon flashes, the device enters the high-water level setting. The display shows the distance from the ultrasonic sensor to the high-water level (e.g., 0.1m). Use the +/- buttons to set the actual distance. For example, if the distance is 0.2m, set it to 0.2m.
3.3 Set Alarm:
When the "ALARM" letter appears, the device enters the alarm level setting. Press the +/- buttons to set the alarm level as a percentage of the tank level. Each grid represents 10%.
8. Complete Programming: To save settings, press button (2) (Menu) for 3 seconds, or exit without saving after 10 seconds of inactivity.
Note: Alarm beeping can be muted by pressing button (3) Model Switching.
