Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Plate
Loosely thread the screws (AA) and the hex nuts (DD) onto the round mounting plate (CC). Adjust the screw length according to the fixture canopy depth. Next, take the fixture down and tighten the hex nuts (DD) up against the round mounting plate (CC) until 3/16" [5mm] of threads are showing. This ensures the correct length for mounting.
Step 2: Attach Mounting Plate to Outlet Box
Attach the prepared mounting plate assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
Step 3: Wire the Fixture
Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Using wire nuts (BB), connect the WHITE fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box. Connect the BLACK fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire from the outlet box. Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate. Push all wire connections carefully into the outlet box.
Wiring Diagram Description: A diagram shows the connection of wires: White fixture wire to White supply wire, Black fixture wire to Black supply wire, and ground wires connected together or to a green ground screw. UL-approved wire nuts are used for connections.
Step 4: Mount the Fixture
Lift the fixture to the mounting surface and pass the screws (AA) through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. While holding the fixture, thread the screws (AA) in or out of the round mounting plate (CC) until 3/16" of threads are showing. Using the cylinder nuts (EE), tighten the fixture against the mounting surface.
Step 5: Install Lamps and Shade
Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets. Use 60-watt MAX incandescent medium base lamp, SBCFL or SBLED. Attach the strap of the fabric shade (B) onto the bracket of the fixture (A).
Shade Attachment Diagram Description: A diagram shows how to attach the fabric shade (B) with its strap to the fixture bracket (A).
