Maintenance

Never touch the CD player's lens. Protect the player, batteries, and CDs from rain, dampness, sand, dust, and excessive heat (e.g., from heaters or direct sunlight in a parked car). Lens may fog up in sudden temperature changes; allow the player to acclimatize. Clean CDs by wiping from the center to the edge with a soft, lint-free cloth; avoid cleaning agents. Handle CDs by the edge and return them to their packaging. Clean the player with a slightly damp chamois leather; avoid cleaning agents that may corrode the housing. Address minor burrs around the CD center hole with a pencil tip if a new CD doesn't sit flat.

Troubleshooting

General Advice
