General Notes

The regulations and safety instructions provided in the "Safety" Service Manual, part number 72010 800 0000, are valid, along with any respective national deviations.

For this TV set, the Service Manual CUC 2030...CUC 2031 N is applicable. This manual describes the differences and additionally fitted modules of the TV receivers. Individual modules and their relevant part numbers are listed in the tables on page 3 and 4. Basic instructions for servicing are given in the Safety Instructions (Part No. 72010 800 0000), Service Manual CUC 2030...CUC 2031 N (Part No. 72010 020 7000), and the 4th Supplement CUC 2030 N...CUC 2080 N (Part No. 72010 020 7400).

The ST 84-896 NIC/TOP model, previously documented in the 4th Supplement, is described again in this supplement due to the use of a new picture tube and resulting technical changes. When using the new picture tube panel 29305 122 2500, the BSO and UG2-Shift panels are omitted.

Part Numbers

Due to the conversion of the EDP system, previous 10-digit part numbers were changed to 12-digit numbers. For example, 'previous: 29504-111.22' became 'new: 29504 111 2200'. During the conversion phase, either form may be found in the Service Manual.

Spare Parts Lists

The four figures set off in the designation of the spare parts refer to the last four figures at the end of the part numbers of the chassis or modules. For example, '3100 29704 004 3100'.
