Before using your air conditioner, familiarize yourself with its remote control. The following is a brief introduction to the remote control. For instructions on how to operate your air conditioner, refer to the "How to Use Basic Functions" section.
Model Information:
Information is displayed when the remote controller is powered up.
Note: All indicators shown are for presentation purposes. During actual operation, only relative function signs are shown on the display window.
Basic operation: ATTENTION! Before operation, ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available.
The operating temperature range for units is 17-30°C (62-86°F)/20-28°C. You can increase or decrease the set temperature in 1°C (1°F) increments.
In AUTO mode, the unit automatically selects COOL, FAN, or HEAT operation based on the set temperature.
NOTE: FAN SPEED cannot be set in AUTO mode.
NOTE: FAN SPEED cannot be changed in DRY mode.
NOTE: You cannot set temperature in FAN mode. As a result, your remote control's LCD screen will not display temperature.
NOTE: As outdoor temperature drops, the performance of your unit's HEAT function may be affected. In such instances, it is recommended to use this air conditioner in conjunction with other heating appliances.
TIMER ON/OFF - Set the amount of time after which the unit will automatically turn on/off.
NOTE:
Keep in mind that the time periods you set for both functions refer to hours after the current time.
Example: If the current time is 1:00 PM, to set the timer as above steps, the unit will turn on 2.5 hours later (3:30 PM) and turn off at 6:00 PM.
Each time you press the button, it adjusts the louver by 6 degrees. Press until the desired direction is reached.
Press this button under COOL Mode to enter the energy-efficient mode. (For models of RG51A/E, RG51A(1)/EU1, RG51A/CE, RG51A10/E, RG51Y5/E). Note: This function is only available under COOL mode.
Under cooling mode, pressing this button adjusts the temperature automatically to 24°C/75°F and fan speed to Auto to save energy (only when the set temperature is less than 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, the fan speed changes to Auto, and the set temperature remains unchanged.
NOTE:
Used to restore current or previous settings. (For models of RG51B/E, RG51B(1)/EU1, RG51B/CE, RG51B10/E, RG51Y6/E)
The SLEEP function decreases energy use while you sleep, as you do not need the same temperature settings for comfort. This function can only be activated via remote control. The sleep function is not available in Fan or Dry mode. Please refer to the OWNER'S MANUAL for more details.
Keep pressing the Fan button for more than 2 seconds to activate/disable Silence function (some units).
Due to low frequency operation of the compressor, it may result in insufficient cooling and heating capacity. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Sleep, Turbo, or Clean button while operating will cancel the silence function.
Press this button 2 times within one second under HEAT Mode and setting temperature of 17°C/62°F or 20°C (for models of RG51A10/E & RG51B10/E) to activate the FP function. The unit will operate at high fan speed (while compressor is on) with the temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F.
Note: This function is for heat pump air conditioners only.
Press this button 2 times within one second under HEAT Mode and setting temperature of 17°C/62°F or 20°C (for models of RG51A10/E and RG51B10/E) to activate the FP function. Press On/Off, Sleep, Mode, Fan, and Temp. buttons while operating will cancel this function.
Press together the ▲ and ▼ buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to alternate the temperature display between °C and °F (Applicable for models of RG51A(1)/EU1 and RG51B(1)/EU1 only).
