Advanced Functions (Continued)
ECO Function
Press this button under COOL Mode to enter the energy efficient mode. (For models RG51A(2)/E, RG51A(2)/EU1, RG51A(2)/CE, RG51A10(2)/E, RG51Y7(2)/E)
Note: This function is only available under COOL mode.
Under cooling mode, pressing this button adjusts the temperature automatically to 24°C/75°F and fan speed to Auto to save energy (only when the set temperature is less than 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, pressing the [ECO] button changes the fan speed to Auto, while the set temperature remains unchanged.
NOTE: Pressing the [ECO] button, or modifying the mode, or adjusting the set temperature to less than 24°C/75°F will stop ECO operation. Under ECO operation, the set temperature should be 24°C/75°F or above; otherwise, it may result in insufficient cooling. If you feel uncomfortable, just press the [ECO] button again to stop it.
SHORTCUT Function
Used to restore the current settings or resume previous settings. (For models RG51B(2)/E, RG51B(2)/EU1, RG51B(2)/CE, RG51B10(2)/E, RG51B10(2)/CE, RG51Y8(2)/E)
Push this button when the remote controller is on; the system will automatically revert back to the previous settings including operating mode, setting temperature, fan speed level, and sleep feature (if activated). If pushing for more than 2 seconds, the system will automatically restore the current operation settings including operating mode, setting temperature, fan speed level, and sleep feature (if activated).
SLEEP Function
The [SLEEP] function is used to decrease energy use while you sleep (and don't need the same temperature settings to stay comfortable). This function can only be activated via remote control. The sleep function is not available in Fan or Dry mode. Please refer to the OWNER'S MANUAL for more details.
Additional Functions
Silence Function
Keep pressing the [FAN SPEED] button for more than 2 seconds to activate/disable Silence function (some units).
Due to low frequency operation of the compressor, it may result in insufficient cooling and heating capacity. Pressing [ON/OFF], [MODE], [SLEEP], [TURBO], or [CLEAN] buttons while operating will cancel the silence function.
FP Function
The unit will operate at high fan speed (while compressor is on) with the temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F.
Note: This function is for heat pump air conditioner only. Press the [FP] button 2 times within one second under HEAT Mode and setting temperature of 16°C/60°F or 20°C/68°F (for models RG51A10(2)/E, RG51B10(2)/E, RG51B10(2)/CE) to activate FP function. Pressing [ON/OFF], [SLEEP], [MODE], [FAN SPEED], and [TEMP] buttons while operating will cancel this function.
