Connection Scheme
Boiler Connection Scheme: This scheme shows the RT520 thermostat connected to a boiler. The thermostat is powered by 2 x AA batteries (3V). The thermostat has terminals labeled NC (Normally Closed), COM (Common), and NO (Normally Open). For boiler connection, the thermostat's NC or NO terminal is connected to the boiler's control circuit, with COM connected to the other side of the boiler's control circuit. The boiler itself is shown with a flame symbol ? and earth ground connection ?.
OpenTherm Connection Scheme: This scheme illustrates the RT520 thermostat connected via OpenTherm. The thermostat is powered by 2 x AA batteries (3V). It has terminals labeled A and B for OpenTherm communication. The boiler is shown with a flame symbol ? and earth ground connection ?.
AC 230V Connection Scheme: This scheme details the wiring for a system with AC 230V power. The AC 230V supply (L and N) connects through a fuse (MAX 3 (1) A) to the RT520 thermostat. The thermostat is powered by 2 x AA batteries (3V) and has NC, COM, and NO terminals. The COM and NO terminals are connected to control a pump (represented by a circular arrow symbol ▶️) and a motor (represented by 'M' in a circle), which are also connected to the AC 230V supply and earth ground ?. The connection to the boiler is indicated as 'BOILER CONNECTION*' and to OpenTherm as 'OPENTHERM*'.
