Getting Started
1. Install Smart Home Controller
If not already installed, download the Bosch Smart Home App and install the Bosch Smart Home Controller.
2. Separate Housing and Bracket
To separate the housing from the bracket, turn the locking screw on the underside of the motion detector 180° counter-clockwise with a screwdriver and simultaneously pull the housing off the bracket.
3. Start Smart Home App
Launch the Bosch Smart Home App and select "Add device". Follow the instructions in the app.
4. Scan QR Code
The app will prompt you to scan the QR code on the product. The QR code is located on the back of the housing.
Mounting Instructions
- No windows should be within the detection range of the motion detector.
- Direct or indirect sunlight must be avoided within the detection range.
- The detection range must not be blocked by objects.
- The motion detector must not be installed near rotating objects (e.g., fans) or self-moving objects.
- The motion detector must not be installed near heat or cold sources.
- No objects that your pet can climb on should be within the detection range.
- The motion detector should be placed in the area of the room that is most frequently passed through by people (e.g., near a door).

* 5 years based on typical storage temperature (-10 to 55 °C), ambient temperature, 160 motion detections/day, and 2 software updates/year. High temperatures above 50 °C shorten the lifespan. A second battery (not included) can optionally be used, doubling the battery life.
Safety Instructions
- Installation must comply with applicable regulations. Non-compliance can lead to property damage and/or personal injury.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
- The included batteries are not rechargeable.
- Do not throw batteries into fire! Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Do not short-circuit batteries. Risk of explosion!
- Do not modify the product in any way. Any other use is not according to intended purpose. Resulting damages are excluded from liability.
- Use the product only indoors with original components and recommended Bosch Smart Home partner products.
- Avoid dust, humidity, vibrations, constant sun or other heat radiation, cold, and mechanical stress.
- When selecting the mounting location and drilling, pay attention to the path of electrical lines and existing supply lines.
- The device is not a toy! Do not allow children to play with it. Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic films and small parts can become dangerous toys for children.
- When remotely controlling or automating a device, it cannot always be guaranteed that commands will be executed correctly or that the correct device status will be displayed in the app or on other Smart Home display devices (e.g., a Twist) due to external circumstances (e.g., interrupted radio connection to the Smart Home Controller). This can lead to property damage and/or personal injury.
- Therefore: Ensure to the best of your ability that no persons are endangered during remote-controlled operation or automated control.
- Please exercise particular care when setting up or adjusting remote control or automated control and regularly check the desired functionality.

Maintenance and Care
The product is maintenance-free. For repairs, consult a specialist. Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry, and lint-free cloth. Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents for cleaning. Improper handling or failure to observe the safety instructions can impair the protection provided by the device.
