1. General
Carefully read these instructions for proper, efficient, and safe installation, use, and maintenance. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
Installation must comply with manufacturer's instructions and local regulations. Electrical and water connections must be made by qualified persons only.
Users should be specifically trained in operation. Switch off the appliance during failure or malfunction. Periodical function checks must be performed as instructed.
Service should be carried out by a technically qualified person authorized by the manufacturer, using original spare parts. Non-compliance may endanger the appliance.
1.1. Symbols used in the manual
- [STOP]: Indicates a safety risk; instructions are mandatory to prevent injury.
- [Caution]: Informs about correct procedures to prevent bad results, appliance damage, or hazardous situations.
- [Information]: Provides recommendations and hints for best performance.
- [Hygiene]: Highlights the importance of careful and regular cleaning for hygiene requirements.
1.2. Symbols used on the appliance
- [Electrical Terminals]: Indicates electrical terminals behind a part, requiring removal by qualified persons only.
1.3. Checking the relationship of the appliance and the manual
Check the rating plate for refrigerant and the appliance's serial number. If manuals are missing, they can be ordered from the manufacturer or local representative using the serial number.
2. Safety
2.1. Safe use of the appliance
- [STOP] The appliance must be connected to an earthed socket.
- [STOP] Always unplug the appliance from the power supply when moving or servicing.
- [WARNING] Refrigerant R290 (propane) is highly flammable. Handle equipment containing R290 with extra care.
- [STOP] Do not set the refrigeration unit's temperature colder than factory settings. This can cause freezing, damage to actuators (like taps), and potential water damage.
- [Caution] Modifying the equipment without manufacturer approval invalidates product liability.
- [Caution] Failure to follow instructions may lead to dangerous situations.
- [STOP] The manufacturer is not responsible for operations performed without following this manual.
2.2. Disposal of the appliance
The appliance contains parts requiring special disposal treatment. Contact local authorities for disposal instructions.
3. Functional description
3.1. Intended use of the appliance
The appliance is intended for cooling and dispensing drinking water.
3.2. Structure and operating principle
Free-standing models (WD series) are designed for serving lines. D-I models are supplied without an outer casing for insertion into line structures.
The top of the unit features a faucet and a basin with a drain for drip water.
3.2.1. Electronic faucet (models PWD-04A-E, PWD-04A-EN, D-IWD-E, D-IWD-EN)
The faucet operates via a solenoid valve activated by a photocell. Water flows when a glass is detected within the sensor's range. The faucet automatically shuts off after an adjusted flow period. It functions best with flat-bottomed glasses.
4. Operating instructions
4.1. Operation
- Mechanical faucet: Push the lever with a glass.
- Electronic faucet: Hold a glass under the faucet.
4.2. After operation
4.2.1. Cleaning the exterior surfaces
[Caution] Clean stainless steel surfaces with neutral, liquid detergents. Do not use abrasive or corrosive agents.
4.2.2. Cleaning the condenser (to be performed by a service technician)
[STOP] Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning the condenser.
Clean the condenser annually, or more often if necessary. Clogging is indicated by longer compressor run times, reduced cooling effect, and rising condensing temperatures, which can damage the compressor.
When cleaning with a brush, be careful not to damage the condenser. A vacuum cleaner can also be used.
4.2.3. Replacing the filter (option, to be performed by a service technician)
Replacement is recommended every 4800 litres or when the filter is clogged (indicated by decreased water output or weaker flow). Replace approximately every six months.
Filter components: 1. Holder, 2. Filter, 3. Cover.
Procedure: Turn off water supply, run faucet to release pressure, unscrew cover (3) from holder (1), remove old filter (2), insert new filter, and screw cover (3) back onto holder (1).
5. Installation
5.1. General
The appliance operates in temperatures between 10°C and 35°C. Avoid installation near heat-generating appliances.
[STOP] If water pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve must be installed.
5.2. Storage
Store in a dry place above +1°C. If exposed to temperatures below 0°C, drain and allow to melt. Check for damage or leaks before use.
[Caution] For electronic faucets, ensure water in the faucet and solenoid valve does not freeze.
5.3. Unpacking the appliance
Transport the appliance in its packaging. Unpack just before installation to prevent dust from damaging the appliance. Store and transport upright.
5.4. Installation
Place the appliance in a well-ventilated room, avoiding direct sunlight. Install vertically with an accuracy of ±3°; greater skewness may cause malfunctions.
For D-I models, ensure a 10 cm air gap between the machinery and the floor to prevent water damage to electrical components.
The compressor has vibration damping. A rubber mat may be used to absorb vibrations and noise if necessary.
The thermostat is factory-set. For refrigerated D-I models, ensure adequate condenser air circulation; do not block air inlets or outlets.
5.4.1. Opening for the drip basin (D-I models)
An opening must be made in the tabletop for the drip basin when installing D-I models inside a counter. The necessary openings are marked on diagrams.
- For D-I WD-E, D-I WD-EN: The diagram shows dimensions for a drip basin opening, including a 400mm width, 154mm height, 140mm depth, and a Ø32mm hole.
- For D-I WD-E2, D-I WD-EN2: The diagram shows dimensions for drip basin openings, including a 330mm width, 640mm height, 154mm depth, 134mm spacing, and holes of Ø32mm and Ø130mm.
5.5. Electrical connections
The appliance operates on 1/N/PE AC 230V 50Hz. Connect to a power supply with an earthed socket.
5.6. First start up
The water tank must be filled manually before the first start-up. The tank volume is approximately 9 litres. Fill through the pipe located behind the front panel and check the water level.
5.7. Adjusting the glass filling rate (mechanical faucet)
The water filling rate is adjusted using a screw (1) on top of the faucet with a screwdriver. If air is dispensed after installation, run water until it runs clear.
5.8. Adjusting the electronic faucet for the glass used
This procedure must be performed by an authorized service technician or installer.
5.9. Adjusting the water flow (electronic faucet)
This procedure must be performed by an authorized service technician or installer.
