Available on Google Play and the App Store.

Please update your speaker firmware to the latest version via the EarFun Audio App for the best user experience. If the speaker cannot connect to the app, reinstall or update the app in the app store.

4. Charging

1. Clean the USB-C charging port before charging.

2. Fully charge the speaker before the first use.

3. Close the port cover to avoid water damage when charging is finished.

Battery Level Indicators:

  • 4 White LEDs: 75%-100%
  • 3 White LEDs: 50%-75%
  • 2 White LEDs: 25%-50%
  • 1 White LED: 10%-25%
  • 1 Red LED: <10% (charging needed)

Connect a USB-C cable to the charging input port for speaker charging.

Note: The speaker has a 7.2V/8400mAh battery. Use an adapter with at least 5VDC/3A output for charging. The speaker supports up to 20VDC/3A fast charging, with a charging time as low as 4 hours.

Connect a USB-C cable to the charging output port to charge other Bluetooth devices. The output port provides a maximum 5VDC/2A (10W) output.

5. Bluetooth Pairing

Step 1: Power on the speaker, then press the Bluetooth button to enter pairing mode.

Step 2: Activate Bluetooth on your device and search for Bluetooth devices.

Step 3: Select "EarFun UBOOM X" from the list. If a password is required, enter '0000'.

6. True Wireless Stereo Connection with Two Speakers

Step 1: Pair and connect Speaker A to your Bluetooth device.

Step 2: Power on Speaker B. Press and hold the Party Mode button on both speakers (A and B) for at least 2 seconds. The party mode indicators will flash blue, indicating connection to True Wireless Stereo mode.

Step 3: When the indicators turn solid blue, the speakers are successfully connected in True Wireless Stereo. Speaker A will be the Left channel, and Speaker B will be the Right channel.

Note: Speakers will automatically connect in TWS mode after initial setup.

7. Party Mode Connection with Two or More Speakers

Step 1: Pair and connect a master speaker to your Bluetooth device.

Step 2: Power on the other speakers. Press the Party Mode button on all speakers. The master speaker's party mode indicator will be solid white, and slave speakers' indicators will flash white, indicating they are entering party mode connection.

Step 3: When indicators are solid white, speakers are successfully connected in party mode. All speakers will play the same sound.

Note: In party mode, only the master speaker's blue power LED is on; slave speakers' blue power LEDs are off. Only the master speaker controls music and volume.

Notes on Video Mode and Latency

Turning on video mode can reduce latency to about 150ms and improve video experience, but it may shorten the connection distance. It is recommended to turn off video mode when playing music.

Video mode does not support True Wireless Stereo mode or party mode.

Normal mode provides latency of about 250ms.

Bluetooth technology cannot completely eliminate audio latency.

9. Reset and Reconnecting

If the speaker disconnects or has other connection issues, simultaneously press and hold the "Bluetooth button" and "Play/Pause button" for at least 5 seconds to remove all paired devices and old pairings. Then, pair again.

If the speaker crashes, press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds to reboot.

Battery Information, Maintenance, and Precautions

Li-Ion Battery

The device is equipped with a Li-Ion battery, which ages over time due to its physical and chemical properties. The manufacturer specifies the maximum operating time under laboratory conditions. Actual operating time may vary and is not a product defect. To maximize battery life, avoid discharging it below 3.18V or 15% capacity. Discharging below 2.5V can permanently damage the cell. If the battery or device is not used for over a month, charge it to 50% and check its charge level every two months. Store the battery and device in a dry place, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Maintenance

Regularly maintain (clean) the product yourself or through specialized service points at your own expense. If there is no information about necessary maintenance, cyclical, or service actions in the manual, regularly assess the physical condition of the product against a new product at least once a week. If any deviation is detected, take immediate maintenance (cleaning) or service steps.
