LED T8 TUBULAR LAMP RETROFIT
⚠️ WARNING: Read and understand these instructions before installing fixture.
This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with National Electrical Code or Canadian Electrical Code (as applicable) and local regulations. To assure full compliance with local codes and regulations, check with your local electrical inspector before installation. To prevent electrical shock, turn off all electricity before proceeding. Retain these instructions for maintenance reference.
Warning: This lamp should not be used with shunted sockets. Only one side of the fixture needs to be powered.
Installation Steps
- Make sure power is disconnected.
- Make sure the ground wire is properly connected to the fixture.
- Remove fluorescent ballast.
- Connect power source directly to the non-shunted socket to the powered side. (See diagrams below)

Single Lamp Setup
'Dead' end: The 'Dead' end of the LED tube connects to the fixture socket. This socket has two terminals designed to receive the tube's pins.
'Live' end: The 'Live' end of the LED tube connects to the fixture socket. This socket has terminals labeled 'L' (Line), 'N' (Neutral), and 'U' (Unused/Ground). The power source's Line wire connects to the 'L' terminal, and the Neutral wire connects to the 'N' terminal. The 'U' terminal is designated for ground connection.
Multiple Lamps Setup

'Dead' end: Connect the 'Dead' ends of each LED tube to their respective fixture sockets.
'Live' end: Connect the power source's Line wire to the 'L' terminal and the Neutral wire to the 'N' terminal of the first lamp's 'Live' end socket. Subsequently, bridge the connection from the first lamp's 'Live' end terminals (L, N) to the corresponding 'Live' end terminals of the second lamp. The 'U' terminal on the 'Live' end sockets is for ground connection.
