1 Appliance at a Glance
1.1 Description of Appliance and Equipment
[NOTE] Place food as shown in the diagram for optimal energy saving. Shelves and drawers are arranged for maximum energy efficiency.
Diagram Description [Fig. 1]: Shows appliance components: operating panel, internal lighting, shelves, retainers, lift-up box, bottle rack, adjustable door, type plate, plinth panel, and adjustable feet.
1.2 Appliance Range of Use
Intended Use: Suitable for cooling food in domestic/household-like environments (staff kitchens, B&Bs, hotels, catering). Suitable for integration under counters.
Not Suitable For: Freezing food.
Forbidden Applications: Storing medicines, blood plasma, laboratory preparations; use in explosion-risk areas; any misuse causing damage or spoilage.

1.5 Saving Energy
- Ensure good ventilation; keep fan slits clear.
- Avoid direct sunlight, ovens, radiators.
- Warmer ambient temperatures increase consumption.
- Open appliance briefly.
- Lower temperatures increase consumption.
- Sort food: home.liebherr.com/food.
- Keep food packed/covered to prevent frost.
- Remove food only as long as necessary.
- Cool warm food to room temperature before storing.
2 General Safety Instructions
[NOTE] Keep these instructions safe and pass them on. Read carefully for safe and correct use.
[DANGER] User Safety: Children aged 3-8 may load/unload. Children under 3 need supervision. Children must not play with appliance or perform cleaning/maintenance without supervision.
[WARNING] Electrical Safety: Ensure socket is accessible for emergency disconnection. Do not pull cable. In fault, pull plug or deactivate fuse. Do not operate with a defective mains cable.
[WARNING] Fire Hazard: Appliance contains flammable refrigerant and oil. Leaks can ignite. Do not damage refrigerant pipes. Avoid ignition sources inside. Do not use electrical appliances inside. If refrigerant leaks, remove flames, ventilate, inform customer service. Do not store flammable sprays. Keep naked flames away. Keep ventilation openings clear.
[WARNING] Defrosting: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate defrosting.
[WARNING] Refrigerant Circuit: Do not damage.
[WARNING] Alcohol Storage: Store alcoholic drinks in tightly closed containers.
[DANGER] Tipping/Falling: Do not use plinth, drawers, doors as steps/support.
[DANGER] Food Poisoning: Do not consume food stored too long.
[DANGER] Frostbite: Avoid prolonged skin contact with cold surfaces; wear gloves. Do not consume ice cream/ice cubes immediately.
[DANGER] Injury/Damage: Hot steam can cause burns. Do not use steam cleaners, open flames, or defrosting sprays. Do not use sharp implements for ice removal.
[DANGER] Crushing: Do not hold door hinges during opening/closing.
Symbols: Refer to compressor symbols for oil hazards (recycling only) and flammable materials. Rear sticker refers to foam panels (recycling only).
3 Controls and Displays
Hazard Indicators: [DANGER] (death/serious injury), [WARNING] (death/serious injury), [CAUTION] (minor/moderate injury), [NOTICE] (property damage), [NOTE] (instructions/tips).
3.1 Operating and Control Elements
Diagram Description [Fig. 2]: Control panel includes On/Off, SuperCool, Settings, Alarm buttons; DEMO Mode, Temperature, Child lock, Sabbath Mode, MENU, SuperCool, Alarm symbols/displays.
3.2 Temperature Display
Shows average cooling temperature. Flashes when setting changes. Faults indicated by F0-F9 (see Section 7).
4 Putting into Operation
4.1 Transporting the Appliance
Transport upright in suitable packaging. Do not transport alone.
4.2 Installing the Appliance
[WARNING] Fire Hazard (Positioning): Ensure mains cable is not trapped or touching appliance back. Avoid multi-sockets/power distributors at the back.
[WARNING] Fire Hazard (Dampness): Operate only in enclosed areas, protected from splash water.
[WARNING] Fire Hazard (Coolant/Oil): Flammable refrigerant/oil. Do not damage pipes or compressor.
[WARNING] Fire Hazard/Damage: Do not place heat-emitting appliances on top.
[NOTICE] Ventilation: Keep vents clear to prevent overheating. Ensure good ventilation.
[NOTICE] Condensate Risk: Do not install directly next to another refrigerator/freezer.
- Report any damage to the delivery company.
- Ensure installation floor is level.
- Do not install in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
4.3 Installation
Tools Required [Fig. 3]: Screwdrivers, spanner, Allen key, tape measure, pencil, string, spirit level.
Ventilation [Fig. 4, 5]: Requires min. 200 cm² air flow cavity. Insufficient airflow increases energy consumption.
General Installation: Suitable for integrated base units, ventilated at feet. Ensure adequate room size for coolant (1 m³ per 8g). Detach cable holder to prevent noise. Remove protective film and transit supports. Clean appliance (6.2). Ensure good ventilation.
Top Fixing: Appliance braced under worktop. No granite plate needed.
Side Fixing: Requires base frame and side unit wall for screws.
Plinth Panel Adjustment [Fig. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15]: Detailed steps for fitting plinth panel, including foam pads for air flow, adjusting feet for leveling, securing brackets, and aligning the panel. Ensure 41.5 mm gap from cabinet wall.
Fitting Unit Door [Fig. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23]: Instructions for fitting handles, attaching crosspieces, aligning door vertically/laterally, checking gaps, and securing. Ensure 2mm air gap between unit door and appliance body. Check door closure.
4.4 Adjusting Door Seal Contact: Adjust means under bottle rack to ensure full seal contact. Adjustments for inclination, up/down, and lateral movement (Fig. 24). Use only for seal contact.
4.4.1 Adjusting Door Inclination: Remove pull-out compartment, adjust screws for inclination, re-tighten (Fig. 26).
4.4.2 Aligning Door Position: Adjust vertical (Y) and lateral (X) position using screws. Reinsert pull-out compartment correctly (Fig. 27).
4.5 Disposing of Packaging
[WARNING] Suffocation Risk: Keep packing away from children. Packaging is recyclable. Dispose at official collection points.
4.6 Connecting the Appliance
[NOTICE] Electronics Damage: Do not connect to stand-alone inverters or use energy-saving plugs.
[WARNING] Fire Hazard: Do not use extension cables or distributor blocks.
- Match appliance type plate data (current/voltage).
- Use a properly earthed/fused socket (10-16A), accessible for disconnection.
- Check connection and plug in.
4.7 Switching on the Appliance
- Open door.
- Press On/Off ([1]). Temperature display lights up.
- "DEMO" display indicates demo mode; contact after-sales service.
5 Control
5.1 Child Proofing
Prevents accidental switching off.
5.1.1 Setting Child Lock:
- Activate setting: Press/hold SuperCool ([2]) ~5s. 'S' displays, MENU symbol ([9]) shines.
- Select 'c' using Settings ([3]), confirm with SuperCool ([2]).
- Activate: 'c1' displayed, press SuperCool ([2]). Child lock symbol ([7]) shines, 'c' flashes.
- Deactivate: 'c0' displayed, press SuperCool ([2]). Child lock symbol ([7]) off, 'c' flashes.
- Exit setup: Press On/Off ([1]) or wait 5 min.
5.2 Door Alarm
Audible alarm if door open >60s. Stops when door closed.
5.2.1 Muting Door Alarm:
Press Alarm button ([4]) while door is open.
5.3 SabbathMode
Disables controls for religious observance. Indicator lights, symbols, alarms, fans off. Thawing cycle unaffected. Returns to SabbathMode after power cut. List of Star-K certified appliances at www.star-k.org/appliances.
[WARNING] Food Poisoning: If power cut during SabbathMode, check food quality upon restoration; do not consume if thawed.
- Functions locked until SabbathMode off.
- SuperFrost, SuperCool, Ventilation remain active if previously set.
- No audible signals or display warnings. Internal light off.
5.3.1 Setting Sabbath Mode:
- Activate setting: Press/hold SuperCool ([2]) ~5s. 'S' flashes, MENU symbol ([9]) shines.
- Select Sabbath Mode: Briefly press SuperCool ([2]). 'S' flashes.
- Switch ON: 'S1' displayed, press SuperCool ([2]).
- Switch OFF: 'S0' displayed, press SuperCool ([2]).
- Exit setup: Press On/Off ([1]) or wait 5 min.
- Sabbath Mode symbol ([8]) shown when active. Auto-off after 120 hours.
5.4 Refrigerating Food
Coldest areas: above vegetable compartments, back wall. Warmest: top front, door.
- Do not overfill pull-out compartment (max 20 kg).
- Keep fan slits clear for efficient cooling.
- Store perishables (meat, sausages) in middle coldest area; butter/preserves on top.
- Use sealed containers/foil wrap.
- Store raw meat/fish on bottom shelf in sealed containers.
- Store smell/liquid-sensitive foods in sealed containers.
- Do not pack food too closely for air circulation.
5.5 Setting the Temperature
Recommended: 5 °C. Affected by door openings, room temp, food quantity. Adjust using Settings button ([3]). New setting adopted ~5s after press. Interior temp adjusts gradually.
5.6 SuperCool
Maximum cooling for very low temperatures. Useful for quickly cooling large food quantities. May increase fan noise and energy use.
- Switch On: Press SuperCool ([2]). SuperCool symbol ([10]) lights up. Cooling drops to lowest setting. Auto-off.
- Switch Off: Press SuperCool ([2]). SuperCool symbol ([10]) goes out.
5.7 Butter Dish
Instructions for opening, closing, dismantling, and cleaning (Fig. 25, 28, 29).
5.8 Relocating Retainers
Instructions for moving shelf retainers (Fig. 30).
5.9 Dividing Pull-out Compartment
Use separator to divide compartment (Fig. 31).
5.10 Storing Food in Lift-up-Box
Store unopened, sealed items (bottles, packs, vegetables) in lift-up box (max 4 kg) (Fig. 32).
6 Maintenance
6.1 Defrosting
6.1.1 Defrosting Refrigerator Compartment:
Automatic defrosting. Frost/water drops on back wall are normal. Clean drain hole regularly.
6.2 Cleaning the Appliance
Clean regularly.
[WARNING] Steam Hazard: Do not use steam cleaners.
[NOTICE] Damage Risk: Do not use concentrated cleaners, abrasive pads, steel wool, sharp/acidic agents, or solvents. Do not damage type plate or cables. Prevent water entering drain channels, grilles, or electrical parts. Use soft cloths and pH-neutral cleaner. Use food-safe products inside.
- Empty appliance, unplug.
- Clean surfaces with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- Clean drain hole with a narrow instrument (e.g., cotton bud).
- Most parts are removable for cleaning.
- Shelf Removal/Insertion [Fig. 33, 34]: Instructions for shelves and telescopic rails.
- After cleaning: Dry all parts, reconnect, switch on, and wait for cooling before reloading.
- Clean vent grille regularly.
6.3 Customer Service
Attempt self-rectification using Section 7. If unresolved, contact Customer Services (address in directory). Provide appliance designation, service number, and serial number for faster service.
[WARNING] Unprofessional Repair: Only qualified personnel for repairs/actions not specified. Damaged mains cables must be replaced by manufacturer/service.
- Keep appliance closed until service arrives.
- Pull out mains plug (not by cable) or switch off fuse.
6.4 Energy Efficiency Class Lighting
Contains LED light source, class G. Lowest class indicated.
7 Malfunctions
Check for handling errors first. Possible self-rectification:

8 Decommissioning
8.1 Switching off the Appliance
Press On/Off ([1]) until display darkens. Child lock may prevent switch-off (see 5.1).
8.2 Taking Appliance out of Service
- Empty appliance.
- Switch off.
- Remove mains connector.
- Clean appliance (6.2).
- Leave door open to prevent odour.
9 Disposal
9.1 Preparing for Disposal
Remove batteries and lamps if possible, as per EU legislation and appliance instructions.
9.2 Disposing of Appliance Environmentally
Dispose of appliance separately from unsorted waste. It contains valuable materials.
[WARNING] Coolant/Oil Hazard: Flammable. Do not damage pipes/compressor.
Germany: Free disposal via local recycling centres. Retailers may accept old appliances.
- Transport without damage.
- Dispose of batteries, lamps, appliance according to regulations.
- Return batteries to retailers/collection centres.
- Dispose of lamps via respective systems.
