International Warranty
LONGINES is pleased that you have chosen a timepiece from our collection, embodying the expertise and knowledge that form the basis of our brand's technical demandingness and timeless elegance.
Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. grants you, under the present warranty conditions, a warranty valid for twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase for all LONGINES® watches, and for five (5) years for mechanical watches purchased from January 1, 2021. The 24-month international warranty covers all material and manufacturing defects of the watch straps and bracelets. The LONGINES international warranty covers material and manufacturing defects ("defects") existing at the time of delivery of the purchased LONGINES watch. The warranty is valid only if the official Longines retailer has dated and completed the warranty certificate ("valid warranty certificate"). During the warranty period, you are entitled to free repair of any defects upon presentation of a valid warranty certificate. Should it be impossible to restore your LONGINES watch to its normal operating condition through repair, Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. undertakes to replace the watch with a LONGINES watch of identical or similar characteristics. The warranty for a replacement watch expires at the end of the warranty period of the replaced watch.
This warranty does not cover:
- Battery life;
- Normal wear and aging (e.g., scratches on the case and/or glass; changes in the colour and/or material of cases, straps, and bracelets made of materials other than metal, such as leather, textile, or rubber; wear of PVD coating; tarnishing of bronze);
- Damage to any part of the watch caused by improper or abusive use, inadequate maintenance, negligence, accidents (impacts, dents, crushes, scratches resulting from strap/bracelet changes, etc.), incorrect use of the watch, or failure to follow the instructions;
- Any indirect or consequential damage caused by the use, malfunction, defects, or inaccuracy of the LONGINES watch;
- A LONGINES watch that has been handled by an unauthorized person (e.g., for battery replacement, repairs, or other services) or whose original condition has been altered outside the control of Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A.
All other claims against Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. (including claims concerning damages not described in this warranty) are expressly excluded, except for their legally guaranteed mandatory rights that the buyer may exercise against the manufacturer.
This manufacturer's warranty:
- Is independent of any warranty that may be offered and for which the seller alone is responsible;
- Does not affect the buyer's rights against the seller or any other legally guaranteed mandatory rights that they may exercise against the seller.

Precautions Regarding Water Resistance
The water resistance of your watch may be affected by changes due to gasket aging or accidental impacts to the crown. To help maintain your watch's water resistance, we recommend rinsing it with fresh water after contact with saltwater and having its water resistance checked annually by an authorized LONGINES service center. Never open your watch yourself.
IMPORTANT! Never adjust the time-setting crown or pushers while the watch is submerged or wet, and ensure the crown and pushers are pushed in and screwed down before submerging the watch.

Wound Crown
Some LONGINES models are equipped with a screw-down crown, which must be unscrewed (counter-clockwise) before setting the time, date, or making other adjustments. After making the necessary settings, return the crown to position 1, push it back into place, and screw it down firmly to ensure the watch's water resistance.
Quick Date Change
Pull the crown to position 2, then turn it back to display the desired date. The watch continues to run during this operation; time adjustment is not necessary. The date must be corrected after each month shorter than 31 days. Push the crown back to position 1. The date changes when the hour hand passes midnight.
Important: Avoid setting the watch time while the chronograph function is in use.
Standard Start – Stop – Reset Function
For single event timing:
- Press pusher 2: Chronograph starts.
- Press pusher 2 again: Chronograph stops.
- Press pusher 3: Reset.
Rally Function (Split Times)
Measures the durations of consecutive events, but not the intervals between them. Each subsequent result is added to the previous one. To time different stages of a rally, follow this procedure:
- At the start of the first stage, press pusher 2: Chronograph starts.
- At the end of the first stage, press pusher 2 again: Chronograph stops.
- Repeat this for each stage of the rally.
- At the end of the final stage, the chronograph will display the total rally time, i.e., the accumulated time of all stages.
- Press pusher 3: Reset.
Before each timing operation, ensure the chronograph hands are in their starting position.
