This document provides essential information for your Longines timepiece, including warranty details, care instructions, and time-setting procedures.
International Warranty
LONGINES is pleased you have chosen a timepiece from its collection, representing the brand's long-established know-how, research, technical excellence, and timeless elegance.
La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. grants a warranty effective from the purchase date:
- Twenty-four (24) months on all LONGINES® watches models.
- Five (5) years on automatic watches purchased from January 1, 2021.
Watch straps and bracelets are covered by a 24-month international warranty for material or manufacturing defects.
The LONGINES international warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing present at the time of delivery. The warranty is effective only if the warranty certificate is dated and fully completed by an official LONGINES dealer.
During the warranty period, upon presentation of a valid warranty certificate, you are entitled to have any defect repaired free of charge. If repairs cannot restore the watch to full working order, La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. will replace it with an identical or similar LONGINES watch. The warranty for the replacement watch expires on the same date as the original.
The warranty does not cover:
- Battery life.
- Normal wear and tear (scratches on case/glass, alteration of color/material of cases, straps, bracelets, chains made of leather, textile, rubber, or other non-metallic materials; PVD coating; bronze color).
- Damage from unsuitable/improper use, neglect, carelessness, accidents (knocks, dents, crushing, scratches during strap/bracelet changes), incorrect use, or failure to follow the instruction manual.
- Harm resulting directly or indirectly from using the watch or from operational failure, defect, or lack of precision.
- Watches handled by non-approved persons (e.g., for battery replacement, servicing, or repairs) or altered from their original state without supervision by La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A.
Any claims for damage or harm other than those specified are expressly excluded, except for statutory rights against the manufacturer.
This manufacturer's warranty:
- Is independent of any vendor warranty.
- Does not affect the purchaser's rights against the vendor or other statutory rights.
For servicing, entrust your watch to an official LONGINES dealer or an approved LONGINES Service Centre listed on www.longines.com.

Precautions Concerning Water-Resistance
A watch's water-resistance can be affected by gasket drying or accidental crown shocks. To maintain water-resistance:
- Rinse in soft water after contact with sea water.
- Have water-resistance checked annually by an approved LONGINES Service Centre.
- Never open the watch yourself.
IMPORTANT! Never activate the time-setting crown and/or push-pieces when the watch is underwater. Ensure the crown and push-pieces are pushed in or screwed down before any immersion in water.
⚠️ WARNING: KEEP THE BATTERY OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. The battery can cause serious injuries if swallowed or placed inside any part of the body. Seek medical attention immediately.

Setting the Time – General Information
Your watch displays hour, minute, seconds, and date.
Screw-in Crown
Some LONGINES models feature a screw-in crown. It must be unscrewed before setting the time, correcting the date, or winding. After these operations, return the crown to position 1, push it back in, and screw it firmly to ensure water-resistance.
Setting the Time
To set the time:
- Pull the crown out to position 3 when the seconds hand is at 60.
- Turn the crown forwards or backwards until the desired time is displayed.
- Push the crown back in to position 1.
Quick Date Correction
Do not attempt quick correction of the date between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m.
To correct the date:
- Pull the crown out to position 2 and turn it forwards. Your watch continues to operate, so the time does not need resetting.
- Push the crown back in to position 1.
The date needs correcting after any month with fewer than 31 days. The date changes when the hour hand passes midnight.
