1.1 Install Procedure
1.1.1 Privacy Setting
a. Download the HiLink.app to your MAC system and double-click on "HiLink.app".
A macOS Finder window displays the "HiLink.app" file. A security alert dialog box appears, stating: "HiLink" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store. It also notes that Safari downloaded this file from consumer-tkbdownload.huawei.com. The dialog offers "Show in Finder" and "OK" buttons.

1.1.2 Installation Steps
c. Navigate to System Preferences. From the Finder menu, select File > System Preferences...
The macOS System Preferences window is displayed. It shows various preference panes such as General, Desktop & Screen Saver, Mission Control, Siri, Spotlight, etc. The "Security & Privacy" icon, which features a shield with a lock, is highlighted.
d. Open the "Security & Privacy" preferences. The window shows the "Sign in to your Apple ID" prompt at the top. The "Security & Privacy" pane is selected, displaying options for login passwords and app download sources.
e. In the "Security & Privacy" window, under the "General" tab, a message indicates: System software from developer "HUAWEI DEVICE USA INC." was blocked from loading. The section "Allow apps downloaded from:" lists "App Store" and "App Store and identified developers". A lock icon is visible with the text "Click the lock to make changes." Below this, a prompt appears asking for the system password to unlock "Security & Privacy" preferences, with fields for Username and Password, and "Cancel" and "Unlock" buttons.
f. Click the lock icon to enable changes. The "Allow" button next to the blocked message is highlighted.
g. Re-open the prompt box and click the "Open" button. A dialog box titled "Security & Privacy" asks: "HiLink" is not from the App Store. Are you sure you want to open it? It reiterates that security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store. The dialog provides "Show in Finder", "Open", and "Cancel" buttons. The "Open" button is highlighted.
Please enter your system user name and password, then click on the “OK” button.
A prompt titled "mbbservicePkg wants to make changes." asks to "Enter your password to allow this." with fields for "User Name" and "Password", and "Cancel" / "OK" buttons.
After the installation is complete, you can navigate to the installation directory to verify the latest installation version number. The expected version number is 22.001.33.03.03. Note that the installation process is silent, so you will not see visual progress.
A macOS Finder window displays various directories and files related to the installation, including "MobileBrServ", "HW_CreateNetwork", "HWNetMgr", "HWPortDetect", "HWPortDetect_driver", "mbbservice", and configuration files.
1.1.3 After Installation
After installation is finished, inserting the device should open its homepage.
A Finder window shows configuration details, including installation paths, service names, product version (value=22.001.33.03.03), and filter information.
A web browser or application window displays "Autorun" with the message "Updates available. Please download." It includes "Download" and "Go to Home" buttons. A note advises: If the driver update page is displayed, please click Go to Home.
