BEGA Aluminum Pole - Round Hinged Tapered

Application

A round, tapered, aluminum pole with a hinged base, suitable for mounting pole-top luminaires, floodlights, banners, or other accessories. The hinged base facilitates easy access to pole-tops. Structural engineers should be consulted for pole specification. Poles must be unwrapped upon delivery and kept dry. Poles specified without pole tops require internal approval.

Materials & Specifications

• Extruded aluminum pole shaft
• 2-piece aluminum cover with anchor base
• Anchor bolts conform to ASTM F1554 Grade 55 with L bend and minimum 12" galvanized threaded end
• Anchor bolts include (2) hex nuts and (2) flat washers
• A356 aluminum alloy anchor base, heat-treated to T6 temper
• Wall thickness: 0.125"
• Structural weight: 17.0 lbs
• Maximum Luminaire Weight: 50 lbs

Finish

All BEGA standard finishes are matte, textured powder coat with a minimum 3 mil thickness. BEGA Unidure® finish offers superior fade protection in Black, Bronze, and Silver. BEGA standard White is a super durable polyester powder. RAL, custom, and premium colors are optionally available in polyester powder and/or liquid paint.

BEGA North America is not responsible for incompatibility resulting from such changes without review by their engineering department, including labor, material, and shipping charges. For safety, do not mount more than 50 lbs. to hinged poles or 62 lbs. to fixed poles. Pole capacities are based on AASHTO 2013 (LTS-6) and assume a max vertical eccentricity of 2'-0" above the pole top. Adequate drainage is required in concrete foundation or grout. Do not seal the pole base. Do not install a pole without a fixture or other appropriate weight on top due to structural reasons.
