HANDLING THE WATCH
(1) Water Resistance
- These watches are water-resistant up to 200m and can be used for shallow dives.
- * The watches can only be used for shallow dives; do not use them for deep-sea diving (with helium).
- The crown is of the screw-down type. When using the watch, always tighten the crown securely. Water resistance is not guaranteed if the crown is not tightened.
- Do not operate the crown in water or on wet watches. In this case, water may enter the watch. If the crown is not tightened properly, water may enter the watch and disrupt its operation.
- A small amount of moisture may be present inside the watch. If the ambient temperature is lower than the temperature inside the watch, the glass may fog up. Temporary fogging does not harm the internal mechanism; however, if the glass remains fogged for a long time or moisture enters the watch, it is recommended to contact the store where the watch was purchased or the nearest ORIENT WATCH service center.
(2) Precautions Before Diving
Before diving, do the following:
- Ensure the watch is fully wound. (If not, wind the spring by shaking the watch for at least 30 seconds.) See the description of the [Automatic Winding Mechanism] in the AUTOMATIC WINDING MECHANISM (WITH MANUAL WINDING MECHANISM) section on page 62 and the POWER RESERVE INDICATOR on page 65.
- Check the correct time setting on the watch.
- Check the rotation of the bezel. If it can be rotated counter-clockwise, it means the bezel is functioning normally.
- Check the tightness of the screw-down crown.
- Ensure there are no cracks or chips on the glass and bracelet/strap.
- Check the bracelet attachments (spring bar and clasp). In case of problems, do not use the watch and contact the ORIENT WATCH service center.
(3) Precautions During Diving
- Do not operate the crown in water.
- Due to water pressure, the bezel may rotate with significant force. (This is normal.)
- Protect the watch from impacts (e.g., against rocks).
(4) Precautions After Diving
- Do not operate the crown while there is water on the watch surface.
- Before wiping off saltwater from the case and bracelet/strap, ensure the crown is tightly screwed down. Then, rinse the watch with clean water to prevent rust. Afterward, dry it thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth. Be especially careful when wiping the rotating bezel and bracelet/strap attachments (spring bar and clasp).
(5) Shock Resistance
- Remove the watch during strenuous sports activities; however, sports like golf, etc., will not negatively affect the watch's condition.
- Avoid strong impacts such as dropping the watch on the floor.
(6) Effect of Magnetic Fields
- Do not expose the watch to strong magnetic fields for extended periods, as the watch components may become magnetized, leading to malfunction. Exercise caution.
- Under the influence of a magnetic field, the watch may temporarily run fast or slow. The watch's accuracy will be restored once the magnetic field's influence is removed. In such cases, reset the time.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
- This product is a mechanical watch with automatic winding (with manual winding mechanism).
- In addition to time, this watch displays the date and power reserve.
- The watch is equipped with a hacking seconds mechanism.
- Shock-resistant bearings are used to protect the balance wheel from shocks.
- These watches have water resistance up to 200m and can be used for shallow dives.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The stated daily accuracy is ensured under the following conditions:
- After 24 hours in room temperature conditions, fully wound, and with the dial facing upwards.
- Watches with automatic winding have certain characteristics that affect the deviation of 'daily accuracy' from the stated value; this is influenced by the following factors: duration of daily wear, watch position, your hand movements, and the spring winding conditions.
Technical specifications are subject to change without prior notice due to product upgrades.
BEFORE OPERATION
WARNING
⚠️ During diving, do not perform operations not described in this manual. These watches are intended for shallow dives. Do not use them for deep-sea diving (with helium).
ATTENTION
❗ Before diving, you must complete a safety course and obtain permission to dive. Strictly follow the rules taught in the courses. High-altitude diving differs significantly from regular diving, and comparing them without proper preparation is risky. Special training is required. The rotating bezel is for information only. Use these watches in conjunction with other equipment for safe diving.
COMPONENT NAMES AND FUNCTIONS
The watch includes the following components:
- Hour hand
- Minute hand
- Second hand
- Date
- Crown
- Rotating bezel with indicators
- Power reserve indicator hand
The position of the crown, date indicator, etc., may vary by model.
AUTOMATIC WINDING MECHANISM (WITH MANUAL WINDING MECHANISM)
- These watches are mechanical and equipped with an automatic winding function (with a manual winding mechanism).
- When worn on the wrist, the spring is wound by the natural movements of the hand. The mainspring can also be wound using the crown.
- If the watch has stopped, shake it from side to side more than ten times, or wind the mainspring using the crown to start the second hand. After the second hand starts moving, set the date and time.
- When winding the mainspring, slowly turn the crown clockwise to the standard position. Turning it counter-clockwise will cause the crown to spin freely without winding the mainspring. If the watch has stopped, the spring can be fully wound by turning the crown clockwise about twenty times. The crown can be turned further even if the spring is fully wound. When winding the watch, refer to the number of turns indicated above or the power reserve indicator.
- With a full wind, the watch will run for approximately 40 hours. If the watch is insufficiently wound, its accuracy may differ from the stated value. To ensure accuracy, it is recommended to wear the watch for at least 8 hours a day.
ATTENTION: Be careful
❗ To maintain watch accuracy, it is recommended to hold it securely as shown in the illustration. Wind the spring by moving your hand in a large arc left and right until the power reserve indicator hand shows at least the middle of the scale, then put the watch on your wrist.
MODELS WITH SCREW-DOWN CROWN
This type of watch has a screw-down crown. To operate this type of watch:
- Before setting the date and time, turn the crown counter-clockwise to unlock it.
- After setting the date and time, push the crown in and turn it clockwise until it stops to lock it.
SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
[Setting the Time]
- Turn the crown counter-clockwise to release the screw-down lock. When the hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull the crown out to the second click. (The second hand will stop.)
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the current time. As the watch has a calendar, ensure the correct time of day is set: a.m. (before noon) or p.m. (after noon). The date changes at midnight. When setting the time, first move the hand slightly before the desired value, then advance it to the correct time.
- Push the crown in without screwing it. After setting the time, tighten the crown securely by pushing and turning it clockwise until it stops.
[Setting the Date]
❗ It is not recommended to adjust the date between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM, as the date changes during this period. If the date is set during this interval, it may not change on time, or the watch may malfunction. When setting the date, be sure to move the hour and minute hands to a different time period.
- Turn the crown counter-clockwise to release the screw-down lock. Pull the crown out to the first click. * On this watch, the crown can be pulled out to the first and second clicks.
- Turn the crown clockwise until the current date is set.
- Push the crown in without screwing it. After setting the date, tighten the crown securely by pushing and turning it clockwise until it stops.
The position of the crown, date indicator, etc., may vary by model.
Date correction at the end of the month: If a month has 30 days or fewer, the date needs to be corrected. Set the date to the [1st] of the following month.
POWER RESERVE INDICATOR
The power reserve indicator shows the watch's winding level, allowing you to estimate at a glance how much longer it will run. The value indicated by the power reserve indicator hand is the remaining time. The remaining time is only approximate. The displayed time may differ from the actual power reserve.
These automatic watches are equipped with a power reserve indicator. When worn on the wrist, the spring will be automatically wound by the natural movements of the hand. The power reserve hand indicates the fully wound position (40 hours). The winding level of the watch changes depending on the intensity of hand movements and the duration of wear, so the hand does not always point to the fully wound position. If you remove the watch from your wrist and do not wind it manually, the power reserve indicator hand will gradually move towards zero.
USING THE ROTATING BEZEL WITH INDICATORS
Rotate the bezel to align the marker with the minute hand. As time passes, you can measure the elapsed time by the distance between the minute hand and the numbers on the rotating indicator bezel. You can also set the marker to a desired time to remind yourself how much time is left until a scheduled event.
The bezel cannot be rotated in the opposite direction as it is equipped with a safety mechanism designed to protect against accidental operation due to force or impact. The numbers on the rotating bezel can also simplify reading the current time.
The illustration shows that 20 minutes have passed since 10:10.
