The ISSA™ 4 smile features an innovative hybrid brush head that provides an invigorating tooth clean and gentle gum massage. The back of the brush head includes a tongue and cheek cleaner. Clinically tested, the ISSA™ 4 smile reduces plaque and improves overall oral hygiene by 140%.

How to Use ISSA™ 4 Smile

Unlock Your Device

Before first use, unlock your ISSA™ 4 smile by registering it via the FOREO app and activating the warranty. Follow these steps:

1. Download the FOREO For You app.
2. Log in or sign up for an account.
3. Add your device within the app.
4. Select the device series.
5. Follow the app's instructions and complete purchase information.

Your toothbrush is now ready to use.

How to Brush

1. APPLY TOOTHPASTE: Apply your regular toothpaste to the ISSA™ brush head. Press the universal button to turn on the ISSA™ 4 smile. (Settings can be customized via the FOREO app).
2. BRUSH: Brush your teeth for 2 minutes, similar to using a manual toothbrush. Use the back of the brush head to gently clean your tongue and inner cheeks.
3. RINSE: Rinse your mouth and the ISSA™ 4 smile with water.

Repeat twice daily for a fresher, brighter smile!

NOTE: Avoid toothpastes containing bleach, as they may damage or discolor the silicone.

• Use only with a SELV power adapter. IEC60950 standard power supplies are recommended.
• Ensure the charging port and cable are dry before charging to prevent electric shock, short circuit, or fire.
• Do not use the device while charging.
• Do not use while driving or operating heavy machinery.
• Do not insert objects into any openings.
• The battery must be removed before disposal and disposed of safely according to local regulations.
• This product has no serviceable parts.

Maintenance

Cleaning ISSA™ 4 Smile

After each use, rinse the brush head with warm water, running your fingers through the bristles. Allow the toothbrush to air dry. If blood is present, clean with soap and water. Avoid UV sanitation cases and cleaning products containing alcohol, petrol, or acetone. For optimal hygiene, spray the toothbrush body with FOREO Silicone Cleaning Spray weekly and rinse with warm water.

Replacing the Brush Head

All ISSA™ brush heads are compatible with ISSA™ 4 smile. To replace, turn off the toothbrush, lift the old brush head off, align the new head's center hole with the metal dowel, and push down to secure.

Hybrid Brush Heads last up to 6 months; Silicone Sensitive Brush Heads last up to 1 year. Order replacements via the FOREO app, www.foreo.com, or authorized retailers.

Charging ISSA™ 4 Smile

The indicator light indicates battery level: yellow to red signifies low battery. Connect the USB charging cable for 1.5 hours. The light stops blinking when fully charged.

CAUTION: Ensure the charging port and cable are dry. Do not use while charging. Do not charge for more than 24 hours. Use only the provided USB cable.

Troubleshooting

• ISSA™ NOT ACTIVATED: If it's your first use, unlock via the FOREO app. If the battery is empty, recharge for up to 1.5 hours and restart using the universal power button.
• CANNOT SWITCH OFF / BUTTONS UNRESPONSIVE: Microprocessor may be temporarily malfunctioning. Connect the USB charging cable or press and hold the universal power button to restart.
• INDICATOR LIGHT CHANGES COLOR:
  • Yellow to Red: Battery low. Recharge.
  • Breathing White: Charging.
  • Blinking White: Bluetooth pairing mode.
• INDICATOR LIGHT NOT BLINKING WHEN CHARGING: Battery is fully charged (up to 265 days use), or the battery is drained and needs a few minutes to register charging. Ensure the USB cable is properly connected.
• DEVICE FALLEN INTO WATER: The ISSA™ is waterproof; dry and continue use.

Register Warranty

Activate your 2-Year Limited Warranty by registering through the FOREO For You app or at foreo.com/product-registration.

2-Year Limited Warranty

FOREO warrants the device for two years from the original purchase date against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use. The warranty covers functional parts but excludes cosmetic deterioration, accidental damage, misuse, or neglect. Tampering with the device voids the warranty. FOREO will replace defective devices free of charge upon notification during the warranty period, provided reasonable proof of purchase is supplied. Claims can be made via your FOREO account at www.foreo.com. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. This warranty is in addition to statutory consumer rights.

*This 2-Year Limited Warranty does not apply to replacement brush heads.

Disposal Information

Dispose of old electronic equipment responsibly according to EU and other European country regulations. Ensure the device is brought to an appropriate collection point for recycling. This prevents potential negative consequences for the environment and human health and helps conserve natural resources.

For recycling information, contact your local waste disposal service or place of purchase.

Battery Removal

NOTE: Opening the device voids the warranty. This action should only be performed when the device is ready for disposal.

The device contains a lithium-ion battery that must be removed before disposal. Follow these steps carefully, wearing gloves for safety:

1. Pull off the brush head.
2. Peel off the silicone outer layer.
3. Open the inner plastic shell.
4. Remove the battery.
5. Dispose of the battery according to local environmental regulations.
