Miele WCE 330 Washing Machine Quick Start Guide
Before the First Use
Before using the machine for the first time, ensure it is correctly installed and connected. Please read the separate operating instructions supplied with the appliance. Failure to remove transit bars can result in damage to the washing machine and adjacent cabinetry or appliances.
Operating the Washing Machine
The control panel consists of a display and various sensor controls. The display shows and allows selection of values, which can be changed using the AV sensors. The OK sensor confirms selected values.
Sensor Controls
- AV Sensors: Used to change values in the display.
- OK Sensor: Confirms selected values.
- Power Sensor: Indicates the PowerWash display with Quick and Eco sensors. When lit, you can choose between three programme sequences.
- Quick Sensor: Shortens the programme sequence, increasing mechanical action and energy.
- Eco Sensor: Saves energy by reducing wash temperature and increasing programme duration.
- CAP Sensor: Activates detergent dispensing with a capsule.
- Delay Start Sensor (?): Starts the Delay start function.
- Start/Stop Sensor (▶️/⏹️): Starts the selected programme or cancels a running programme.
- Programme Selector: Selects programmes and switches the machine off.
Washing Environmentally and Economically
- Load the maximum dry load for the programme.
- Automatic load recognition reduces water and energy for smaller loads.
- Use the Express 20 programme for small, lightly soiled loads.
- Wash at reduced temperatures (e.g., 20°C) to save energy.
- Reduce detergent for smaller loads.
- Select the highest possible spin speed to save energy when drying.
Preparing the Laundry
- Prepare Laundry: Empty all pockets. Sort laundry by colour and care label. Pre-treat stains.
- Select a Programme: Turn the programme selector to the desired programme. Programmes can be selected directly via the selector or via the "Further programmes/" position and the display.
- Load the Washing Machine: Open the door by reaching under the door grip and pulling it open. Load laundry loosely. Ensure no items are caught between the door and the seal. Close the door with a gentle swing.
- Select Programme Settings: Adjust temperature and spin speed using the AV sensors. Select Extras by touching the sensor directly or via the Extras sensor control and display.
Adding Detergent
Any detergent suitable for automatic front-loading washing machines can be used. Follow the dosage instructions on the packaging.
- Filling Detergent Drawer: Pull out the drawer and add detergent to the compartments for pre-wash, main wash, and fabric softener/capsules. Do not exceed the maximum level mark for fabric softener.
- Using Detergent Tablets or Pods: Always put tablets or pods directly in the drum with the laundry.
- CapDosing: Use Miele capsules for fabric care, additives, or detergent. Touch the CAP sensor to select the desired capsule.
Starting the Programme
Touch the flashing Start/Stop sensor to begin the programme. The door will lock.
At the End of the Programme
- The door remains locked during the Anti-crease phase. The display will show "Finish/Anti-crease" and "Press Start/Stop" alternately.
- Touch the Start/Stop sensor to unlock the door.
- Remove the laundry, checking the drum and door seal for any remaining items.
- Turn the programme selector to the off position (⏻).
- Remove any used capsules from the detergent dispenser drawer.
- Close the door to prevent objects from being placed in the drum and to avoid injury to pets and children.
Extras
Extras can be used to augment wash programmes:
- SingleWash: For efficiently washing a very small load (< 1 kg).
- Pre-ironing: Reduces creasing by smoothing laundry at the end of the programme. Best results with small loads. Garments must be suitable for tumble drying and ironing.
- Water +: Increases water level in wash and rinse stages, with an optional second rinse.
- Pre-wash: For laundry with large amounts of dirt (dust, sand).
- Soak: For heavily soiled and stained items with protein stains. Duration can be set from 30 minutes to 6 hours.
- Intensive: For hard-wearing, heavily soiled laundry, increasing cleaning efficiency.
- Extra quiet: Reduces noise levels. The final spin is reduced, and programme duration increases.
- Extra gentle: Reduces drum rotation and wash duration for gentler washing of lightly soiled fabrics.
- AllergoWash: For high hygiene standards, using more energy and water to increase temperature holding times and rinsing efficiency.
